I have met with Dr. McHugh twice now and have been very pleased with him and his staff. They have taken the time to answer all my gazillion questions and I feel comfortable with the doctor I choose to perform my procedure. His wife Katherine was extremely helpful my first visit and really made me feel comfortable in what could be considered an embarrassing type of doctors appt LOL. I'm scheduled for my procedure one week from today. I'm a mother of 2, 34 years old, and looking to get back my 20 something pre-children breasts. I weigh 126 lbs and I am of slender build. My breasts are currently 36 D 's. I'm not looking to go larger but to get the perkiness and volume back so I opted for a small 210/240 silicone implant. The plan is that Dr. McHugh will use sizers while I'm in surgery to see what looks the best for size and balance of course so I will update and let you know what I end up with. Super excited but really nervous about being put under and the recovery process!

I ended up with a 210 Natrelle Silicone implant in the left breast and a 240 in the right to achieve symmetry!

Tomorrow is Surgery!

Feeling some anxiety! This was a big decision and I know I made the right choice. I'm just feeling nervous. I picked up all my RX's and a few gel ice packs to have on hand. House is cleaned, bedding is clean, and I feel I have prepared everything I need. The count down is on!

Procedure is done!

Had my procedure this morning and I am home resting. I haven't walked around much today, just taking it easy. I left the hospital around noon and slept the majority of the day. I feel a little pressure on my chest and so far very little pain...I'm sure the pain meds have something to do with that. Ice packs applied to the top of my breast feel good and of course I'm quite swollen. I go see the Dr tomorrow morning to get the surgical bra removed and replaced with a new one. He will also inspect everything to make sure all is good! I honestly expected much worse but we will see what tomorrow brings.

Oh and by the way Dr McHugh took mine and my husband's hand before wheeling me back to the operating room and said a prayer with us which really comforted me. My surgery was on a Friday and he saw us at his office on the next day a Saturday to remove my bandages and put me in a post operative bra. He gave me an extra one as well:)
