Finally had the nerve to post some photos...
WORTH IT$6,000
This is tough for me to post these photos. Hope this helps some of you deciding to do this journey! It's amazing how quickly you forget how bad the stomach area was - and get used to this new body! My body is very sensitive to salt and I do swell every day so I'm wearing my binder for a few hours every day and especially when I'm exercising.
On my exercise, on week 8, my trainer added planks to my exercise. I held them for 20 - 25 seconds. Not much - but working my way back! Planks are good cause I'm not crunching my stomach. I feel my core getting stronger - less soreness in the abdomen. I can tell I'm working out but I'm not hurting. I won't do anything that hurts.

8 1/2 Weeks Out!
Wow! I finally feel like myself again! Ok - let me clarify that statement - I'm still numb - need my binder for part of the day, swell daily, but at last I have my energy back and I feel good! When I'm tired, I still want to hunch over.
At 6 weeks, I got the okay to go back to exercising but to take it easy - slowly build up. I started back with my trainer - haven't done any ab work but I feel my core with almost everything I do! Each workout we add more and I'm feeling less sore in the ab area every few days. Today I did the rowing machine - of course my energy level isn't where it was - but I could do the machine without my core hurting! Yeah!!
I love Pilates and had my first session back this week - we took it easy - no ab crunches - but it felt great to get back to normal!
Best thing now is taking baths! I waited til week 7 cause I had some scabs still on my scar. My scar is still dark - using Scar Gel cream - hope it works. I'm massaging the area and my stomach. I do swell daily - maybe because of the exercising so I'm wearing my binder when I'm active but not sleeping in it. I do love my Yummy Tummy Compression tanks - gives me some support.
Next up is a breast reduction and lift - trying to decide whether to get that done this spring or wait tip the fall. I'm also trying to decide on whether to do my arms but I'm really scared about the scars.
Oh well - my mission now is to get my self back tot he best shape I can be and lose these last 15 lbs.
Good luck to all of you wherever you are in this journey! It's definitely been worth it!

Thanks for the update. Does your belly button look like mine? I'd love to see a close up of it :)

Cleared to Exercise at 6 weeks!
Yesterday I saw my gynecologist for a 6 weeks check-up. He did an internal exam and said I was doing great and was released for getting back to exercise. He said I should start out at 25% of where I was before. That's kinda good news/bad news as I've enjoyed being lazy but really can't wait to get back to the gym as I feel my thighs & butt getting bigger as I sit on the couch!
As I was concerned about swelling in my abdomen and a possible seroma developing again, I also saw Dr. Gill - my PS. He said the swelling was normal - will take awhile for the lymphatic system to reconnect and absorb all the fluid and to wear by binder when I'm on my feet all day. I had an active day on Tuesday and did not wear my binder and definitely was swelling that night. I slept in my binder for the next two nights and have been wearing it constantly to get my swelling under control. It's better but not all gone.
After getting the ok to exercise, I went to the gym and kinda stared at the equipment - where to start? I got on the elliptical - did a few machines with light weights - it was almost like stretching instead of lifting weights. I did a few stretches and left! Didn't do any core exercises - not ready for those yet. I talked to my personal trainer and I'm starting back working out with him next week - thank goodness cause I need direction! He will take it slow as he knows I'm recovering.
But oh my gosh - I didn't think I did anything that worked those abdominal muscles - but whoa - my abs starting hurting - I was going to sleep without my binder but oh- no - I put that sucker back on - helped with those abdominal muscles aching! It's a weird sensation! Am going to have to take it slow!
I bought two Yummy Tummy camisole/tanks that have compression but not as tight as the Spanx. They have wide straps - I like them - may go buy more as I'm wearing them every day. I do switch to a 100% cotton tank to sleep in at night. Right now I'm wearing a tank or camisole 24 hours a day either under my binder or with compression when I'm not wearing the binder. I found them at Nordstrom's - their sales associates in the lingerie department know their stuff and are so helpful - a little pricey but I like their help! I have tons of Spanx and other compression garments that I spent good money on that I never wear. So - whatever it's worth - I like these Yummy Tummy compression tanks!
Think I might take a bath today -haven't had one in 6 weeks! But I have showered!!

When were you able to stand straight up? I'm 3 weeks post TT and I'm still hunched over :/

February 3, 2015
I'm thinking I started getting straighter by 3 weeks - but not all day - just a little bit of the day! I know I started getting out more at 3 weeks for a little while so I would try to stand tall when out and about!
Even at five weeks I thought I was able to walk straighter but my husband told me I wasn't! Try standing against a wall and trying to stand straight. It comes slowly - not overnight! I'm 8 weeks out and tonight I'm tired and a little hunched over! Have to make myself push my shoulders back and stand tall!
But oh my gosh - isn't this surgery worth it?? Even though I'm still swelling - I feel like a different person with those rolls of fat gone!!

Yes defiantly worth it. :) I talked to another lady who had sx the same day as me with Dr Gill and she said she can't walk straight either (3weeks) and she has to go back to work Wednesday ... Poor thing :( she won't write a review though. She just talks to me in private message because she was having trouble breathing and tried to talk to someone who had the same dr and saw that we had our surgeries the same day :)
