Felt it was time to have an upgrade and I had...
Felt it was time to have an upgrade and I had heard many positive stories about having it done in Thailand so I looked into it and my consultant was very helpful and made the whole process a breeze.
So I arrived on the 2nd Feb and had my consult and surgery on the 3rd. I felt my consult went really quickly..like 10 minutes and Dr NJ hardly made eye contact with me..he was in and out so naturally I had all these questions come up while I waited 3 hrs for my surgery. I asked the nurses if I could see Dr NJ before my surgery so I could ask these questions and also confirm he wasn't following the lines he drew on me as the line on my left from my collarbone to nipple was not straight like the one on the right. Time came to be wheeled into surgery and again I asked if I could see the doc and they said yes. As I'm laying on the table while they are setting up for surgery the anaesthesiologist came in and said you ready to go under...I said no I'm meant to be seeing the Doctor before hand as I have a few questions, he had a weird look on his face and walked out of the room and came back after 5 minutes saying he just spoke to Dr NJ on the phone and he is in his car on his way and either I get put under now or he will postpone the surgery!! Well I just burst into tears!! The anaesthesiologist manage to calm me down and tried to answer my queries the best he could and reassured me he was the best and I shouldn't worry so I agreed and went under.
Woke up after surgery in sooooo much pain. I vaguely remember him coming in to see me afterwards but I didn't see him for another 6 days after that as he came to remove my drains before I checked out of hospital.
Was so happy to get back to my hospital but I was still in a lot of pain for the remainder of my stay in Thailand.
Had my final consult the day before I flew back home to have my stitches removed. Arrived at my scheduled time with Dr NJ. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked the nurses how much longer until he arrives. They said they just spoke to him and he is on his way in. Another 40 minutes passed and the nurses told me to head into the room and get undressed. Well it wasn't Dr NJ who walked in but some young doc who had a look, says I'm fine and that the nurse will remove the stitches and left. The nurse removed my stitches and because around my nipples they where bleeding a bit I asked for steristripes so they could help keep my wounds from opening up...she said no I don't need them! I was over it all and just wanted to leave and go home!
Well within a few days I got a hematoma on my left breast and on my right one the wound opened up. I went and saw my doctor back home and he couldn't believe they didn't give me any steristripes.
After 3 months of visiting my doctors twice a week my wounds have healed...although I'm still having stitches stick out of my wounds on occasion things are a lot better then they were. But since they have settled I can noticeably see that my left nipple is approx 1-1.5cm lower then my right!
I have been contacting Destination Beauty since my return home and emailing them pictures as well as querying why Dr NJ signed off on my Medical Certificate when he wasn't even present for my final consult and I have had no responses...just keep getting the run around. It's like once they get their money they no longer want to deal with you!!!
