I am officially 2years post op as of tomorrow! Couldn't be happier with my decision back in 2012. Look and feel fantastic in swimmers, dresses (especially without having to wear a bra) lingerie, and bras like in the pic attached. They're so much apart of me now that I can't even remember the pancake life before :P Good luck to anyone about to embark on the same journey as me. Glad we have RealSelf to support each other in your decisions :)

Hello. May I know how long your doctor took to get back to you with his recommendations after you've sent him your photos?

Hu xxxxy I went through Somnio so they were the 'middle man' between the doc & me. Took over a week perhaps.. I'm sure you already have your recommendations by now :) Good luck! Any other questions let me know :)

Thank you for the reply! may I know why you chose tear drop over round and why dual plane over sub muscular? Were they the only recommendation by the doctor? Cause he recommended me either round or tear drop and either dual plane or submuscular placement. A lot of his patients seem to go for tear drop and dual plane. I actually prefer round and submuscular so I was wondering if you had a choice or if those were the only recommendations. :)

Hi xxxxy, I didn't choose those myself. When Dr V recommends either options, it means that he needs to assess you during your consult because you can only recommend so much from a few photos. If you prefer round yet in the consult he strongly recommends tear drop, will you go against your surgeons suggestion? Most likely not. They know what is best and what will look better for you in the long run. So experienced, you know you're in safe capable hands so you can't really prepare much else before the consult except maybe bring a few photos in of what you want to aim for :) Good luck!

hey would anyone know if doctor V is also known as Dr Veerawat ?

i want to know how are your wounds? does it leave bad scarring? does the silicone inside feels soft like real breasts?
User Avatar
June 12, 2014
Hi ccwxy, I get bad scarring anyway so I knew my scars would fade slowly and they have. Unfortunately there's not much point researching scar recovery because each person recovers at a different rate. As for the feeling of them, they will always feel harder and less normal than any natural breast, that's a given. They do soften over time, don't think they feel like rocks forever! :)

Great decision hun, they look great. I live in Australia too, got them done by Dr Dona (paid $8,800 - which is not too bad) but my 2nd option was Thailand. There are so many reviews and references that I'd have felt confident too. I'll get one of my gf to research the company u r talking about, as she definitely wants to go to Thailand to get her boobies. Well done and congrats on your 2nd Year post op milestone!

Hi nice photos! Was wondering where you got your bikini on your last photo- black with the pink accent? Those r super cute!! Thanks!

hows the scar now? i'm quite prone to keloid.... not sure bad it can get... so would like to know hows yours doing?

I scar really badly myself, so my scars look worse than the other girls who went on the same trip as me. I don't have keloid scars though..and I know this can make a huge difference to the appearance of your breasts if your keloids are very noticeable. I would suggest doing some research and asking around this site for other keloid patients to see how they have recovered..after all, everyone is different :)

Hi, as you can see by my review, I went with Somnio. Fabulous agent which I highly recommend! There are a lot of other agents out there as well, but I found Somnio had the best personal service and the whole group experience made it easier for me than if I were to head over to Thailand by myself (which I probably wouldn't have done!)
October 29, 2013
Hi I'am looking at going to Thailand next July but am scared as hell!! Have been tosing between a few agents but somnio seems to have the best reviews so far, how long cant you lift for?
User Avatar
November 17, 2013
Hi Kojak, what do you mean by lifting? Like at the gym? How heavy? It really depends on your body and how fast you recover, but you don't want to be heading back to the gym doing insane workouts after only a few weeks..you've obviously got to ease yourself back into it. As for lifting, I think it'd 6weeks, but depends. You will have to ask your surgeon/consultant about that :) And don't be scared! Go with a group like Somnio and you've got the entire group of girls in the same boat as you, so you won't be the only one with anxious emotions :)

Can't believe I've had these gorgeous puppies for boobs for over a year now. I've had no dramas at all and love to get them out in swimmers on the beach. I don't feel like they look fake at all - more like beautifully perky boobs! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Thailand, Somnio or my surgeon Dr V! :)

Was wondering the difference between breast augmentation and breast implants. I thought they were the same thing? I'm trying to decide which route I want to take. Originally I wanted the augmentation but now I'm a bit confused, specially seeing that your surgery consisted of over and under the muscle. did

Deski, I think you need to do more research first and look up the definition of those two terms, as they are completely different to having your implants placed either under/over the muscle. It will be clearer once you look into it more

Sorry to jump in, augmentation means to enlarge the breast, it's usually implants so that's why it gets confused but it could be fat grafting etc. implants are just that. Hope that helps :)

Hi again BBoobies! After speaking with you a couple of months ago I have paid my deposit to have my surgery done with Dr V :) I'm so nervous but excited, I just hope I don't chicken out on the day haha. Your girls are looking fabulous! I'm just curious, how long did they take to drop? I'm going to Las Vegas 6 months after my surgery and want to make sure I'm new assets will be ready to show off haha. When Dr V recommended teardrop I was worried because they looked like they sit so high on the chest but now I realise they will drop and look so natural and perky still :) I just have to remember this when I wake up with swollen boobies coming out of my collar bone and not freak out hahaha would you be able to post a front on view now your boobs have dropped? So glad to read everything has gone well in the 12 months since your surgery :)

Ahh I'm so excited for you!!! You know you'll be in safe capable hands so no need to worry about that :) Yes 6months post op is plentttyy of time for them to be ready to show off! I went to Hamilton Island for a week one month after surgery & sure they were quite hard looking but they soon soften up, just gotta be patient :) I posted two pics from May this year so that's exactly one yr post op. I wish I had the support of RealSelf prior to surgery to ask all of these questions so you're lucky you discovered this site before it all! :) Any other questions, feel free to fire away! X

Sorry one more question lol. Did you buy your post surgical bras in Australia before you left? How did you know what size to get? Or we're there some available in Phuket? X
User Avatar
October 9, 2013
Somnio made us all buy $75-90 post surgical bras, but honestly don't need them. Once you wake up, your doc will have fitted you with one that's perfect for you, and during your post-op consults (e.g. during the removal of stitches aweek later), you can request for another post-op bra. A lot of girls never ended up using the bras we bought before we went over. They can double as a sports bra down the track if you dont use them post-op anyway. :)
October 9, 2013
Yeah Dr V had me wear a underwire bra for 6 months, he said compression bra would cause stress to my incisions! Wasted $110 on the compression bra I thought I needed

Hey B! How are you? i had my BA also with Veerawat a month ago, teardrop implants over the muscle. I had a question...did he tell you to massage your breast?? Because 1 week post op, when he removed my stitches he told me to massage my breast and how to do it, but then everywhere on the internet says to Not massage teardrop implants at all!! And after massaging my breast 1 month post op im feeling more pain than in the beggining :/ just wanted to know if you got told to massage as well? I was wondering If I should try to contact him and ask him.
