Second surgery complete 7 months later

WORTH IT$9,000
In Thailand, Hua Hin, relaxing after Vaser lipo last Saturday 14 August in Bangkok. I had 7 more sites treated with the same surgeon as in January this year. Much easier recovery this time compared to having 18 sites treated first time around. Will post pics once home and hospital has sent me before and after pics.

Dr Pornthep is very professional. There were some areas I wanted treated but he said he couldn't do due to the risks (eg upper back of leg near bottom area as too close to the sciatic nerve). He spoke English and the International coordinator was present for consultations to translate if any further clarifications were needed. He went through all the risks of the surgery and he even had a physiotherapist come to see me before and after surgery to get me to do exercises to ensure my lungs were strong (I suffer some asthma).

I am booked in with Dr Porthep to have Vaser in 4 weeks.. can you tell me did they give you general anesthetic? or just twilight sedations and local.. I know some surgeon's dont stitch the Vaser entry sites to let them drain.. were yours stitched thanks?
August 26, 2015
General anesthetic both times, ie in January this year and August this year. All sites had stitches this time around (8 sites in total). In January, the drained sites didn't have stitches (18 sites in total, but the drained sites totaled 5 with no stitches). Trust Dr Pornthep, he will do what is best for you. I had him for both surgeries (Jan and Aug) and he is fantastic.

Thankyou so much.. I am happy to read about the General anesthetic... really not keen to be awake for it.. unlike when I had my breast augmentation I wasnt stressed at all but with this, I read so many things that have me worried with the long recovery.. I hate taking time off at the gym/pole fitness and aerial hoop.. but I am sick of these stubborn spots that wont budge.. Your review has certainly given me confidence that I have selected the right Surgeon :) thankyou so much

I have taken liquid Arnica from the moment I woke up after surgery, every 15 mins, when I could and now around 5 times per day. When I was formally discharged on Monday 24 Aug, the surgeon said I had minimal bruising. Now, 13 days later and I went on my crosstrainer last night, with my compression garment on for half hour without any probs.

I am 2 months post op vaser lipo with Dr Pornthep. I feel some of the areas of liquid swelling is still present. Especially arms, inner thighs and love handles. How long did you have to wear the compression and until the full positive results of removal of fat showed?
November 6, 2015
It took the full 5 months to see the end result. Keep wearing the garments till around 3 or 4 months. I also did tricep dips to tone arms and crosstrainer

Walking too

Thankyou so much. I guess I need to be patient and like you said takes a few months. Thats really helpful. May I ask which areas you had done (7 points second time round in Aug 2015). I have a few that appeared too. Did you have it under local?
November 6, 2015

November 10, 2015

Yes all areas were repeats just not all of them. Only wish I'd kept the compression garments on for at least 3 months as some sagging on saddlebags. Tummy has some loose skin but only when sitting down otherwise the areas were all improvements on the first procedure as I think you need to see how it settles and like I did have a second procedure to fine tune

Why i didnt have massage

shb
Hey, I didn't have massage after the vaser as I was in hospital for 2 days with drains coming out of both my tummy and both thighs to remove the excess fluid. The Dr didn't ask me to have any massage or other treatments until after around 3-4 weeks when i did gentle massage on the treated areas myself and this was more like a rub with the palm of my hand.

Almost 6 month mark pics

shb
So, almost 6 month post surgery. Happy with the results. Have gone from 76kg to 67kg through eating better and moderate exercise. About 3kg was removed through the vaser. I am actually returning to Thailand to the same surgeon on the 15 August (one mth away) for small touchups. So, around 8 points compared to my original 18. Mainly going to support a friend who is having upper and lower eyelids done plus an upper forehead lift.

Wowza you are one brave and very lucky bunny....I raised hat to you for having a full body vaser!!! You clearly did yr research and took a chance in Thailand! Hee I so wish I'd had found this site before mine! I thought I'd researched and felt confident with my surgeon, given his medical status.
I had felt like a truck had hit me and at 22 weeks am still feeling tender...still wear my 2nd stage garment and all he tells me is I am a slow healer. Yes I know everyone's healing is different...
Still I'm done now and just need to go with the flow and wait for it to finish healing.
Your abs look amazing!!! Not a lump in sight! :)
July 14, 2015
Thank you. I only ever wore compression garments. There was never any mention of massage. The skin had to reattach so I can understand why I wouldn't massage. It would've disrupted thehealing process. I never had any lumps except on my inner thighs and they just went nnaturally by around the 4 1/2 mth mark.

You look fantastic!!
Did you go through a company??
I think this is the doctor Ian considering through cosmeditour.
Are you happy with everything?
July 16, 2015
This is what I wrote above:
the following website to organise quotes etc: https://www.plasticsurgerythailand.com. Once I'd received two quotes (after sending photos of areas I wanted treated), I decided on Bangpakok 9 International Hospital in Bangkok. My surgeon was Dr Pornthep Pungrasmi. This place is located in Bangkok. They do not ask for any money up front. I paid at the actual hospital the day before the surgery and only after all tests were completed to confirm that I could physically go through with the surgery, eg ECG, Blood pressure, etc. Hope that helps. The contact is Natt.

Yes - very happy with the result.

Yeah don't know if I have the guts too do it yet but would like too lol!!
I never thought of the weather !!!! I had my tummy done here last August and was wearing that one for months and months cause i ended up getting a infection and re opened for months :(
It became my second skin actually was hard too give it up even though was hot haha
July 16, 2015
What a coincidence that you had your procedure in Bangkok same time I had a different procedure with another surgeon in Bangkok. I have booked in for Sep and your going again in August :)

Yes you are brave and well done again. Im nervous this time because I know its not easy having full body on your own. I also was exactly 76kgs and I have been exercising alot and lost 6kgs so after vaser I think I will probably dissapear (wishful thinking). You say you will be going for touchups? May I ask which areas? I am asking because I know some areas might be stubborn so I can ask Dr Pornthep to focus a bit more on those areas. Not sure if it will help as everyone is different but it would be good to discuss with the Dr. Like you said post maintenance is very important such as eating healthy and exercise. Good luck in August and wishing you a speedy recovery.
July 19, 2015
The areas he did are fine. The touch-ups relate to areas that have since revealed themselves.
