How do you describe years of pain, fatigue, embarrassment and self consciousness? I wore a 38H bra and hated my body and the constant physical pain in my back and shoulders. I couldn't play with my 6 and 3 year old. Mommy got too tired and hurt too much. It is understandably intimidating to walk into a doctor's office with the clear intent to change your life, but I can honestly say that it was the BEST decision of my life. I met with Dr. Motlagh and his team, watched the videos about the breast reduction, and then we got started. I was so nervous about sharing my feelings about the pain and embarrassment, but as it turns out, I wasn't alone! We talked and I was very comfortable with the staff. I was measured and photographed. The results meant that my insurance covered the expenses. I had surgery two weeks later. The staff at Tyler Plastic Surgery prepared me well for what to expect. It is a painful first couple of weeks. Nobody can sugar coat that. The pain lessened gradually as I healed, and was made bearable by the pain medication Dr. Motlagh prescribed. The stitches removal was a bit painful because of the sensitivity of the area. I highly suggest bringing your post surgery bra to your doctor before surgery for approval. That made a big difference. Having family to care for you is important those first few days. Their support and encouragement has been vital. I'm 10 weeks after surgery and just left Dr. Motlagh's office. I'm healed up with just one small area left that needs ointment and a bandaid. I'll go back in about 3 months but all is well. I hope my review is helpful to you and that if you are considering a reduction, that it has been informative.

You can see the incisions around the nipples where they were resized to be more appropriate for the change.

A little more information

I just wanted to add a few things to my journey. I waited until after I finished having children to finally get my breast reduction. This is super important. Also, my surgeon reduced the size of my nipples to match my breasts. As of today, my left nipple seems more sensitive than I was before surgery to... ahem....stimulation.. of the husband's attention kind ;-) .... the right has some sensation and it seems to increase gradually. I wanted to throw that out there for any who are curious. I was and it was a huge deal to me to still have sensation.

your size and shape very like me too. true what you say about having kids, i have just had me second BR. on the other hand my first BR have me lovely 34ds between the ages of 19 and 35 and I am glad i did not miss out on that. if you are going to have kids young, then yes, wait, but if it might not happen until you are 30+ then don't suffer massive boobs during what should be the most fun and free part of your life

I agree if you are waiting to have children. In my case, I graduated from Baylor University, started my career then started my family. I was 24 when we had our son.
