My surgery date is SET!
June 18th, 2015 is the day I begin my journey,
After more than 10 years of waiting and saving up money for this procedure I am finally getting it done, and just in time to celebrate my 40th birthday!
I am super excited, (and honestly quite scared) but Oh my goodness, it's *finally* HAPPENING!

I opted for a breast lift (without implants) and a full TT.

2 MONTHS!

One thing I wasn't prepared for after surgery was the congestion I had. I don't know if it was just me or what, but I had severe chest congestion and had to get some Mucinex D for that and coughing because the coughing was hurting so much. Other than that, I didn't really need any extra bandages, tape or anything like that. I do like the disposable, big bath cloths you can get at the drug store because I couldn't shower the first 2 weeks. They helped tremendously!

So excited for you! I'm a step behind you, I start with my consults with 4 PS this week. I'm also really excited and have been waiting for this to happen. I'm a mom of 4 all by csection so surgery is definitely not new to me. I'm just hoping the recovery will be similar so I know what to expect. From reading everything seems like it is just with added BL. I have gone through BA 20 years ago and still remember the horrible pain and recovery so with a double whammy, I'm hoping it will be doable! At this point, I'm so sick of feeling the way I feel when it's summer or just wanting to wear my jeans without a muffin top hanging over that I will just do what it takes to get my old body back and feel normal again! I'm planning to schedule my MM for July 8. I have a wedding July 31. I'm hoping I will be ok to fly and attend by that time. Good luck and happy healing!

Jennifer! Only 3 more days.......can you believe it? The last week was the hardest for me. My mind was going crazy thinking about everything. But I am 4 weeks post op now and even though I am still sore all over ....... it is worth it. YAY!!! Have fun the next 3 days because you will not feel like doing much for a while. :) - Melinda

Well here I am one month from having my MM surgery and so I am starting to her my after care stuff together. I've been eating more protein and have nearly cut all salt out of my diet. I have never had surgery so I really don't know what to expect as far as the way my body will heal (swelling, bruising, etc...) .

Is there anything that someone who has gone through this surgery already would recommend that is a MUST HAVE for after care?
I want to buy some Arnica for bruising but was wondering if anyone could tell me if I need only the pills OR if I should get the pills and the gel. I figure I will get both and can return what I don't end up needing.

June 18th can't get here soon enough! I'm so stinking EXCITED!

You too! I am finally getting nervous. I have such awful anxiety - I think I've slept 8 hours in the past 3 days. UGH. I can't make my brain turn OFF! LOL. Try to check in when you can post surgery so I can see how you are doing- I will do the same. Good luck!

So items that I personally think is important is Wedge pillow Recliner Cough drops Smooth move tea Fiber Stool softener Dry shampoo Personally for me tums I have had a lot of heartburn Yogurt to eat I'm only 9 days post and that's what I can think of right now. I didn't get that bruising cream or pills and really I had very little bruising on my boobs but I also got implants. Best of luck and I hope that helps :)

MM Surgery was done yesterday morning and I am now home recovering. Everything went well. Surgery took about 3 hours. I'm not gonna sugar coat it - it hurts like heck but it is worth it. I have not seen my tummy yet but I look so tiny in the CG. I did take a peek at my breasts (got a breast lift - no implants) and they look like they did when I was 19! FABULOUS! My breast don't hurt at all which I am happy about. My tummy is hurting enough for both of them I suppose. Good luck to everyone that has their procedures coming up. Don't be scared, it's worth it. I will post pictures next week probably after my 1 week check up (which is when I will also see my tummy for the first time)

Happy Healing to all who already had theirs done!!
