So, we actually own a home in Mexico and have many reliable pharmacies there to choose from. We made a trip down there recently and stopped at the pharmacy. We retrieved other medications but I thought i'd try the Bimatoprost which is the ingredient in Latisse. I was shocked to see a clear difference in my eye lashes in two days! I couldn't believe it.. about 5 days in however, I got a headache in my right temple. I noticed that it was right behind my eye. The next morning I woke up and my eye was crusted shut - not gooey like pink eye but more liquid-like. I got a wet rag and wiped my eye. The pain I had was fairly severe so I looked in the mirror and saw my eye was very red and seemed inflamed. By the end of the day I had to go to the opthomologist. He said my eye was completely swollen probably caused by an allergic reaction. I had to get a $75 Rx from the pharmacy here (in the US) and although the appearance of swelling and redness is gone, the headache and feeling that my eye is swollen is still there. I'm going to go back to the eye doctor hopefully today and see what he say's. I didn't even consider that I might be allergic to the product but apparently I am. If there is a way to check that - i'd encourage you to do so. Pretty lashes were not worth the dis-comfort from this reaction.

So it's been a couple weeks and I still am having awful pain in my eyes. I went back to the doctor and he said my eyes are both still inflamed and swollen.
