Testing out SkinCeuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight Nightly Treatment

Final Review!

WORTH IT$80
Happy Friday everyone!

So today is my final review for the SkinCeuticals Glycolic Acid 10% Nightly Treatment.

I have used this product faithfully for the last month on my face & décolletage.

Bottom line:

Was it worth the $80.00 price tag if I had paid for it out pocket?

Yes! I feel that the ingredients are of the highest quality & the 10% acid is very potent!

I didn’t see much improvement on my facial skin texture, BUT, my skin was already pretty good because of the mandelic acid I was using previously. So I wasn’t too surprised that nothing really happened.

My chest though, I definitely could see less “crepey-ness” (is that a word? Lol) after a month! I used to have this dry looking skin “line” running down between my boobs from sleeping. Seems more smooth & “hydrated” now?

I still have just under half a tube left, so it definitely lasts a long time! You definitely get your money’s worth with this nightly treatment.

I’d like to thank the RealSelf Insiders program once again for letting me test out this treatment!

Here are pics of my face today, in real light by the window and a few of my 44 year old chest area. Lol

Hope my review helped! :)

3 weeks in, today!

Hi all!

So today is the 3 week check in. It still stings from time to time and I’m limiting the product to certain areas on my face that don’t break out. Instead of my neck (because of breaking out under my chin), I’ve been using it on my décolletage. For my face, I spread it around my crows feet area, my nose & forehead only.

I honestly haven’t seen a difference in my skin texture, pigmentation, or the wrinkles... I already use 8% Mandelic acid every single day (very gentle), so I don’t think this is doing anything extra for my skin?

If you are not an acid user, I can see this definitely resurfacing your skin! 10% is a bit strong for a beginner, so definitely use every other day to start!

So far, I think the amount of product you get, the price it’s going for, and the high percentage are impressive if you’re a beginner. I know this would totally take care of the job of re-surfacing the texture of your skin if you’re new to acids!

Here are some pics of my 3 week face today. My AM routine I use my Mandelic acid, my PM routine I use this product now.

One week into testing: Oct. 14th

Hi everyone! So today’s update is from when I was exactly one week into testing the product. Even though I’m an avid acid user, I did experience a bit of stinging the first day I used it. So I adhered to the directions of using it every other day for the first week. I haven’t seen my face texture or my mild crows feet look any different? I did spread it down to my neck and experienced a few breakouts under my chin unfortunately.

The consistency is very watery, so be sure to shake it up very well and take the cap off upside down! Otherwise the liquid will come spilling out. It definitely is a night treatment, as it can leave your face pretty oily/sticky looking & feeling. I’ve only heard great things about SkinCeuticals, so I’m very grateful to be able to test this brand out!

***Thank you again to the RealSelf Insider program for including me in testing out this complimentary treatment product !***
