Consultation review: terrible consult for tummy tuck

ORIGINAL POST

Terrible Consult for Tummy Tuck

I paid $250 non-refundable consult fee for the Docter's consultation. I waited over 2 months to get the appointment. I waited almost an hour to see the Doctor. Finally he appeared with a very rushed and preoccupied and edgy demeanor barely giving me the time to ask the questions I had prepared. It was insulting to only have 25 minutes of his time when I was told his consults were 1-1 1/2 hours. I learned that he does drainless tummy tucks but still uses drains (?), that it would take 4 hours and the charge would be $24,000. That is about all I got out of him before I was ushered into the patient coordinator's office to do the paperwork. Needless to say, I ran from this practice. And I don't think he really needed the work. I since have had 3 more consults with other premier plastic surgeons and all were excellent in the thorough explanation of options and answering patient questions in a congenial manner. That is the way it should be so sometimes you need to keep looking for the right one.
