3 Years Post Op
Today is my 3 year anniversary since my surgery. I've added some new photos so you can see how my scars have healed. I have since lost another 15 pounds and have got into both running and yoga. It is fantastic to be able to workout and actually see results. I ended up with one tiny ripple that never quite healed on my stomach. I have also had to have multiple mammograms and ultrasounds with my breast because of the scar tissue. Everything is fine but just to be safe they continue to monitor it. Still no regrets. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Yesterday I was officially 6 months post op. The last week I feel I have finally made a turn around. I haven't had any swelling for a whole week! The only part I was still having swelling was the upper belly. I was getting discouraged because every time I worked out I swelled horribly. However, this week I have worked out every day and so far so good. I'm really anxious to start working out those muscles and toning everything up. I go to the doctor tomorrow to have my 6 month check up and to take my after shots. I made some before/after shots this morning.

Thank you,(and the other ladies who do), for posting pics taken months later. I see the immediate pics and wonder holy hell am I sure I want to do this. Then I see the later photos and see how wonderful you and the areas look and it calms my nerves and reaffirms why I want to do this. You look fabulous!!
Now that it is over a year, do you regret your surgery? How bad is the pain during the first week? I could tell by my PS's face that I'm going to be "one hurtin unit". Thinking of only having the breast lift/reduction and skipping the TT. Not sure I am at a good weight. 5'3" and 159 lb. Having trouble losing weight possibly due to untreated thryoid issues. Did you have the lollipop style or anchor style breast reduction?
I do not regret my surgery one bit. I am so happy with my results. I was really expecting the worse regarding pain but it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. I'm sure everyone has different thresholds for pain but with the pain medication it was very manageable. I didn't want to have only one surgery and regret not doing it all at once. One time to go under was a better option. I have the lollipop scars on my breast.
Thanks so much PippaTN for sharing. Showed my husband what the scars might look like on my tummy. He just shivered! Don't want to gross him out, but he needs to know ahead.
