Hi. I've always wanted to have a flat stomach so I have decided to have the procedure done. I will be having upper and lower abdomen and part of my waist done (I will not be flipped over to do the back, they are just going around the sides as much as they can while laying flat on my back). I chose Dr. O'Neil in Temacula California because I went to one of his seminars and was so impressed by the facial rejuvenation procedure that he specializes in. He also specializes in liposculpture. Dr. O'Neil is board-certified and has his own surgical center so I feel that I have made a safe decision in selecting my doctor. I set my surgery date with just a week and a half time frame to prepare for it. I started taking arnica this week and by the time of surgery date I will have been on it for a week. I did not purchase any of the other vitamins A, C, Q10 because I figured it wasn't going to help me with such short timeframe before my surgery. I was given a prescription for pain medication and antibiotic cream and antibiotic to Have filled before my surgery date. I was told I would need to purchase two compression garments ($85 each) and a pair of socks ($15). I put a deposit down of $700 and my balance due is $2450. I have health insurance but the pain medication is not covered so my total bill for my prescriptions is $75. I had three consultations one was with Athenix ($4800) another was with a plastic surgeon in Newport Beach ($2500) and Dr. O Neil was my third ($3000). My expectation for my procedure is to have some skin tightening and a contoured waistline along with the flat stomach. I know the doctor is not a miracle worker, my expectations are realistic. I fear that I will have dimpling and bumps. I like the way my stomach looks now however I just wish it were flatter. Any change to the smoothness of my stomach will be very disappointing, that is my worst fear. I also fear the pain of recovery.

It was a breeze. The nurses and the doctor were gentle and kind throughout the procedure. I was given a pill to relax and an IV for antibiotics and twilight sleep. I don't remember anything but waking up with my garment on. I am not in pain. I am leaking like crazy so I have old blankets and dog wee wee pads on my bed, couch, and in the car. I forgot to take measurements before the procedure. I am 42 years old and weigh 127 pounds 5 foot even. I had no problems eating lunch and dinner. I have been drinking a lot of water and urinating a lot. I have been taking my pain meds as prescribed because I do not want the pain to sneak up on me.
