At sixty years “young”, I had no real plan or even desire to ever undergo cosmetic surgery. The romantic notion of aging gracefully, and the potential risk of “oops factor”, associated with procedures gone bad, were logical reasons not to entertain the idea.
However, it came a point when my dropping upper eyelids were impeding my vision and needed correction. While visiting my family in Tehran last October, a friend suggested getting the procedure done there. It made sense to me, since I have always had a great deal of respect for the Iranian physicians in general. So, I did a quick research and learned that Blepharoplasty is relatively a simple/outpatient procedure. It also made sense, since I still had a few weeks left of my stay in Tehran and could comfortably recover before returning to the US and going back to work.
As I asked around about the top plastic surgeon surgeons in Tehran, I heard a great deal about Dr. Farhad Hafezi as one of the most highly skilled and successful ones. I spoke with a couple of family members and friends who had gone to Dr. Hafezi for their nose job and were pleased with the results. Nonetheless, I still had trepidation and doubts and reluctantly went in for a consultation.
Needless to say, meeting Dr. Hafezi changed my view entirely. His calm, caring and confident demeanor impressed me right away. He took his time, thoroughly, explaining the process and reviewing the benefits as well as the potential risks involved in the procedure. As I started asking about other available options and enhancement procedures, he patiently fielded my many questions. Throughout the consultation, Dr. Hafezi provided a lot of good information with regards to various new and the state of the art techniques in the field of plastic surgery. The new procedure required an overnight hospital stay and at least four weeks recovery time, so time was of the essence. Despite a long waitlist, both Dr. Hafezi and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate my tight schedule and a short timeframe and readily expedited the pre-op and prep work. At the end, everything came together famously and I was able to undergo the operation within one week. The operation itself was a complete success and it all went well with no complications and less than anticipated discomfort.
It has been six months since the procedure and I could not be more pleased. I look and feel rejuvenated, younger and more attractive. I also enjoy the fact that, with the exception of my husband, none of my family or friends in the US know the real secret behind my new and“fresh” look and attribute it to my recent retirement/rest and relaxation!!!
