So, this is my first time ever writing a review...

So, this is my first time ever writing a review online but since during my research there was so little material I'm hoping I can help out others who want to fly to Tehran from London for their nose job.
I chose Dr. Yahyavi after I came across him on Instagram, all his noses were AMAZING. Not the typical nose for each face, as each nose was tailored to suit the persons face. After corresponding with him on email, I was a little hesitant about the whole procedure so we were emailing back and fourth, just about what result can be achieved and if its safe for a girl to travel alone to Iran for a nose procedure.
Anyway, when I finally decided to go through with it I booked a surgery date with his assistant Danial Rassif who I came across on Instagram (I did some 007 research, as I wanted to be 100% sure about the doctor). He was very helpful and booked me for the 23rd July.
Now, the most VITAL part when traveling from the UK is the VISA. Unfortunately we can not get visa on arrival, therefore you have to apply through an agency, who will then issue an authorisation code which allows you to then collect your visa from the consulate in London. This procedure took about 2-3 weeks, however once I visited the consulate and left my passport with them for the visa, I got it back within 3 days. The agency helps you plan your trip in Iran as well as the accommodation, visits and airport transfer. I used the Iran traveling centre, and my agent was Nooshin Hashemi who was so so helpful.
Upon my arrival, I had the appointment with the Dr the next day at the hospital (Yas-e-sepid Hospital) which was only 10 mins away from my hotel (Tehran Grand Hotel). The doctor came, and felt my nose and knew instantly what he had to do with it. He then instructed me to get a blood test and pictures taken, the blood test was at the hospital and the pictures were at a studio that was 20 minutes away. My surgery was the next day at 9:30am. I was told to not eat anything until the surgery and refrain from any sort of medication.
When I arrived at the hospital the next day for my surgery, my tour guide was with me. She was translating and doing everything for me. We had to go to the cashier first thing, pay the fee for the nose job, and give her my details such as name and etc. Then we went upstairs to the room where there was 4 other females who were also going to be operated by Dr Yahyavi. I had to change into the hospital gown, my shoes and take off the nail polish on two of my finger nails (I had shellac so this was an absolute mission), at this point the nurse gave me two pills and a syrup. Once I was changed my tour guide and I were just sitting and talking until we were called up. In the room there was two other women who travelled from Iraq and Saudi to see the doctor, I wasn't the only one!
When I was called I was taken upstairs on a wheelchair, and inside the operation area. I was sat with three other women, who were being taken by Dr Yahyavi's nurses one by one. At this point my nerves were really kicking in, but I felt so sleepy. I think this was a result of the medication they had given me, as I was literally so sleepy. When my turn came, the Dr asked me where I'm from and took my into the operation theatre (I could see a picture of myself which I took at the studio hung on the wall, along with 4 other images). When I sat on the stretcher the assistant Dr was asking my questions about where I'm from and all, then he put the anaesthetic in me after which I was lights out.
I was then woken up by someone massaging my shoulders, and I saw my tour guide holding my hand and telling me it's all over. I was pretty drugged up at this point, and everything was a little blurry. I WAS SO THIRSTY, my dear GOD no thirst can compare to the way my mouth was dry. They only gave me four drops of water, and I kept begging for more but they said they can't give anymore (This is incase I throw up from the anaesthetic)
I stayed at the hospital for only 3 hours after my surgery, I had NO BRUISING what so ever. No dizzy feeling, no nauseous feeling, I felt pretty normal for someone who just had a nose job. I remember just laying there sleeping and waking, drinking water with a straw. I was told I can't walk to the bathroom alone, but thank God I was so normal, that I was able to go to the bathroom myself without any problem. While I was dosing in and out, a nurse came and pulled out the tampons from inside my nose. This felt so gruesome and weird, but since I was drugged up I didn't feel much, besides discomfort and agitation when it was pulled out.
A few hours later, I was confused as I thought that I'd have to stay overnight but they said I can go. I got up and changed myself, and we went back to the hotel. My tour guide stayed with me, and make sure I got all my medicine. I was so tired, I felt NO PAIN. Just so tired and sleepy.
The day after my surgery woke up and felt so lazy, my nose was blocked to the highest degree. Like not a single breath of air would pass through my nose. The next 2-5 days were spent me just laying in bed trying to sleep. It was the most discomfort I have felt in my life, not being able to breath through my nose and my mouth being so dry kept up at night.
On day 5, I was meant to get my cast removed. I had taken a shower on the day before I went to get my cast removed making sure I didn't get my cast wet (I did this by washing my body first, and then placing a hand towel over my face and tipping my head backwards to wash my hair, very technical but doable).
When my guide and I reached the hospital, I saw another women who had her surgery the same day as me, I asked my guide to ask her how was the cast removal. This woman was VERY bruised and swollen, her eyes were barely open and her nose was bleeding when she came out from cast removal. She looked at me in utter disbelief, as I had no swelling. I told my guide to ask her if the procedure is painful, and by the look on my guides face, I wish I hadn't asked. We were then called in by the Dr's assistant, and i was asked to lay on the stretcher. She pulled off the tape on my nose as well as the plastic cast, and I was thinking to myself, well that wasn't painful at all.
Until the assistant came for my nostrils with a tweezer, I was confused and thats when my guide held my hand and told me this might hurt a little (I'm the WORST person to tell that something will be painful, I'll feel it 100 times more when told its coming than it just being done). The reason my nose had been so blocked was not only the swelling but also the INTERNAL NASAL SPLINTS. So this whole time there was the taping and cast on my nose, but on the INSIDE of my nose were the nasal splints, that the assistant pulled out with the tweezer. This wasn't painful at all, to be very fair it was only uncomfortable and psychologically scary that you had a nose job five days ago and somethings being pulled out of it.
She then did the taping on my nose which I made a video of so that when I'm in London I'll know exactly how to tape my nose. I looked so different at this point, like my nose was so different and I wasn't in love with it. Like honestly, I hated it. Luckily I had done enough research that I knew it was the swelling and that I'll hate it, so I didn't let it affect me too much. Once this was done, the Dr came himself and told me to do internal cleaning with the Saline solution and syringe and to apply vitamin A on the dissolvable sutures around my nostril.I was told that the swelling would last unto 6 months, and that I should continue taping for a month day and night, then after a month only at night time. He told me that I can to light exercise and that the stitches are dissolvable so they will fall out over time, and it is perfectly fine for me to proceed with everything else and to stay in touch.
This was on the 27th, and my flight to London was on the 29th.
That was it, my entire nose job journey had finally come to an end. It took me an entire year or saving up and researching, emailing agencies/surgeons/ taking all the precautions. It was finally done, and now I couldn't wait for the results.
Today is the 9th August, so I am 17 days and I have had no problems what so ever. My breathing is still slightly difficult at night time, due to the swelling. I tend to keep my head slightly escalated at night time, as I feel like it can help with the healing. I still clean my nostrils 3-4 times day with the saline solution and use the vitamin A ointment on the sutures. The sutures on my left nostrils have fallen out completely, and the right side still has some. I'm really excited for my final result, and can't wait to see the outcome.
I think this whole experience was definitely one of a lifetime. My sincere advise is that if you are traveling alone, make sure to take enough things for yourself to entertain yourself. I had finished two books whilst there as I had NOTHING TO DO. There's no netflix, or English movie channels in Tehran. Facebook, snapchat and other social media are all banned.
