If this is what my teeth look like after Invisalign, then I'm not happy.
The first picture of me in the black sweater is the day I had my attachments removed, and my Invisalign treatment was finished. They look great, staring directly at me.
The last few weeks, I've realized that I do not like the positioning of my upper right lateral incisor (tooth 7). It sits further back than the opposite lateral incisor. I took a hand held mirror and placed it about 80 degrees up against a flat mirror on the wall to see what my teeth look like from different angles. Reason I did this is because I will only ever see a 2D version of myself and never truly know how other people see my teeth.
I'm pretty unhappy if this is what my teeth look like to other people from those angles. Nothing else in those mirror images is distorted except my teeth (outside of a double image which is common when positioning two mirrors like that). I have no idea if that's an accurate representation of what people see because everyone says "they look fine" and I cannot get someone to give me an honest critique on them.
The 3D render with ClinCheck is helpful but does not appear to be an exact depiction of my teeth in real life. I went to my orthodontist yesterday and pointed out what I didn't like so he created a dent in my top retainer behind the backside of that tooth in the retainer in an attempt to push that tooth out more. I asked him if he could make the dent more pronounced, and he told me no, that I needed to wear that retainer for two weeks straight to see if it moves the tooth. I can tell by the feeling of the tooth in my retainer that it's not going to move by the dent he made alone. Any feedback is appreciated.
