TCA peel ruined everything

UPDATE!!!
Turns out TCA peels aren’t really for me and they were screwing badly with my skins moisture barrier. I have since switched to 40% mandelic acid once a week, been taking ceramide pills to increase my skins moisture, putting ceramides on my face with a moisturizer and drinking lots of water. Unfortunately I still have nose blackheads and my skin isn’t 100% smooth but it’s much better than that picture I uploaded. Thinking of trying salicylic peels next

TCA peel ruined everything
So I had some bad texture on my face and I read that a TCA peel would help with that. But I didn’t have any any big acne or anything on my face. I had one peel done (one layer of 13%). And my skin got a little worse but I was told that it was “purging”. Then about two weeks later I got two layers of 13% and it’s all been downhill from here I’m literally so depressed I don’t know what to do. My skin is red, irritated, itchy, dehydrated looking and I have the worst acne that I’ve had in years I’m devastated. The before picture is the one of my CLEAR skin. And the after is what it looks like now. what do I do? Why did this happen?

That's the thing. I think you had the 2nd session of TCA too soon. 2 weeks after the first is too early even if it is as low percentage as 13%.
I had a 10% peel last week and I feel like my face still feels a bit sensitive to the actives that I am used to use prior the peel.
I guess just keep on moisturizing your face with CeraVe till everything gets better.

So that’s probably what caused the breakout?
From your description it sounds like your moisture barrier may have broken down a bit. It's an important layer that protects your skin and also helps with healing and-aging etc...think tooth enamel but for the skin. I would say don't use actives or harsh soaps and work on hydration to build the barrier up again! Let the break out do its thing and just be super gentle. I'm sure it will right itself fast.
Yeah I definitely think my moisture layer is just gone. My skin looks crepe-y. How do I fix that?
