Tattoo Removal Taking Over My Life

wishuponastarmck
This tattoo removal process is long, painful, and frustrating. I have 2 I am getting removed at the same time. I have one on my right foot and one on my chest! I will talk about the one n my chest. That one is a memorial one for my infant son who passed away. It is angel wings with his name and feathers falling from the wings are his earth bound siblings. I got my tattoo in the summer of 2012. I started getting it removed in November 2017. I had to take a small break as I just had a baby. It has me so depressed. I am getting it removed because I just don’t want It anymore. I’m 35 and I feel like I just am going through something weird in my life right now. I honestly hate myself so much right now. It would be nice to have support during this difficult process.

Thank you so much!

Hey Girl, man I can’t imagine what you’re going through having lost a child. I’m 33 and also in the middle of getting my chest piece removed. It’s been 4 yrs and 5 treatments so far, I spread them way out because I was worried about the integrity of my skin. I am also super depressed about it, being a female and having to cover my chest everyday just really sucks and I so regret letting my loser ex talk me into letting him tattoo my chest at 18 yrs old. So, you’re not alone, I totally understand the emotional roller coaster! Hang in there

Wow how does yours look? Is it fading? Now I don’t feel so alone.

That’s positive! That makes me somewhat happier!

Don’t worry. I went through it on my back. Even though the process is long and painful it is worth it.

Was it removed completely? How does mine look? Do you think lll ever be normal again? I don’t even feel human anymore.

It is almost removed completely. I took some time off from treatments and it continued to fade. It is a pale shadow now. Oh will be normal. Try not to worry.

It's hard not to. Do you have pictures I could see?!

It's coming of nicely. Hang in there. You are not alone feeling like this. I do too feel weird about my tattoo removal process. I have two inked texts on my outer forearms and its very visible, which makes me very conscious about it. Its crazy how such thing can change your attitude into negative emotions when you normally are a quite frank a happy and positive person... Im about to do my 3rd session and there have been small fractions of fading since one year ago. I know its a long journey but Im still positive about the outcome with persistence. I just hope this feeling of weirdness gradually disappears with the tattoo fading. Sending support!

I have 2 tattoos I am getting removed. 1 chest piece and 1 on my foot. It’s been an embarrassing time for me. I am 35 and I want them removed so bad. It has caused me
To become depressed about the way I look. My chest piece is angel wings in memory of my son who passed away with the living children’s names on wings falling from the wings. My foot is a peacock feather. I was hoping to meet some people in here for support! We can get through this together!!!

It's nice to hear I'm not the only one going through pain. My tattoos are on my arms and they don't even have any significance other than being very embarrassing and at times I can't live with what I have done I have so many regrets I'm going to have my 2nd laser removal session next week hoping to see some results soon!
August 29, 2019
I'm so sorry. What colors are in your tattoos!? I'm so mad at myself for what I've done. I have been doing laser on and off for the last 2.5 yrs. It is extremely painful and it blisters so bad. Do you have pictures of your tattoos?!

Don't let a bad tattoo ruin your life, don't let the regret ruin your life. Why you got a tattoo, What you got, where you got it in your body, etc it was your decision -maybe-. If the artist did a bad job (man!!!), if you changed your mind about the design (man!!!), if it wasn't what you had envisioned (man!!!), if, whatever the reason is for you to get the tattoo removed, please don't be depressed! It is just ink that at some point you wanted, if you regret it now, cool, but don't be depressed!!! It is Just ink, bad ink, but it is jus ink. I myself am going through a very painful and expensive tattoo removal. I started the laser removal because I literally asked for something and something happened to the artist that he ended not even following his own drawings placed -already- in my arm.. what happened? No idea! It was my mistake for trusting him and looking what he was tattooing on me, oh well, live and learned. My tattoo is placed in a place one can't hide... I can explained myself and excuse myself of this but I chose not to. To forgive and forget I started thinking that there's far worse things happening to people that a very bad tattoo. Have regrets please but don't let this ruin your beautiful life!!!

I have been getting some sun on the areas where I have had tattoo removal. I’m trying to smooth out the areas that have had laser. I will take a picture later so you guys can let me know what you think!

I will do the same on Holiday. Then wait one month for the next Laser Session. The laser man told me it's not bad to get some sun at the area because it helps the pigment coming back. I will be careful and put lot of suncrem on
July 22, 2019
Do you think one day I will be tattoo free in these areas?!
July 22, 2019
Oh yes When you have patience! The main thing I have learned in this shit time is - patience !!! I understand you so much! I wish I have you let my first tattoo how it was.. and never made more.. BUT we can not made it undone we only can work against it.. one day we will be Tattoo free or happy with what we have
July 23, 2019
I sure hope so! Sometimes I hate myself so much for doing this to myself... I hate even looking in the mirror.
July 23, 2019
I know what you mean... :( it's also frustrating that I can't always just wear what I want :(
July 24, 2019
