Removing eyebrow tattoo with saline

WORTH IT
I had semi permanent makeup eyebrows done and was extremely unhappy with the result. I spent endless hours on the internet, especially on realself.com researching methods of removal. I mostly only found other users desperately searching for a way to remove their botched eyebrow tattoos. There were very little success stories to give me hope. I am writing this post because I want all of the readers to know that there is hope for their botched pmu...After many agonizing days in bed searching for a solution, I finally found Carol Packman in Los Angeles. She is heaven sent! She has been doing both permanent makeup and removal for many many years. Her website had many before and after photos of her removal work. She basically tattoos a saline solution into the previously tattooed area which helps lift the pigment from the skin. I made an appointment for a consultation with her, and I am so happy I did. She keeps photos of all her clients before and after every removal treatment in a portfolio. She has successfully worked on many many people, I was very suprised that she does not have more exposure on the internet. She is also the absolute sweetest. Carol is very honest about the possible outcomes and will never pressure you into doing anything. She is extremely knowledgable about permanent makeup and how your skin will react. I decided to go foreward with the procedure. Luckily, my original eyebrow tattoo was a lighter application "ombre brow," but the shape is ugly and placed too high...you can read more about that experience on my Yelp review for Brow Theory...Hopefully it will only take a few sessions to completely remove it. I had my first removal done three days ago. Carol spent alot of time discussing my brows and the removal process with me. The actual procedure only took about 5 minutes on each brow, and Carol makes sure you are comfortable the whole time. I was initially very concerned about how my brows would look while they are healing, I didn't want to explain to everyone at work that: A. I got my eyebrows tattooed, and B. that I was getting them removed... BUT I had nothing to worry about. Even though immediately after the saline tattooed area was very red, Carol uses a skin tone clay to help cover up the forming scab. I was amazed how well this concealed the brow work. Now on day three, the scab is much thicker, but still covered with the fleshtone clay. It really only looks like a patch of very dry skin, if anyone is even looking that close. I am eager to see the result. I know that it will take multiple procedures, so I'm not expecting a miracle just yet. But I know I am in good hands with Carol, and she has the portfolio to prove that her method works! In all my internet searching, I couldn't find ANYONE who removes unwanted permanent makeup as successfully as Carol. My message is go to her, even if you are not sure. She also has many great ideas for alternative solutions if she really doesnt think you need to do removal. Her website has alot of information too. I initially emailed her, and got a very speedy, compassionate, and informative resonse. I am so happy I found her, I can finally quit worring about "ruining my face." And lastly, her prices are very fair!

Hi Diana, any progress with Carol? Looking for options for my bad brows.

Yes! She was amazing. It took about 2 sessions for me to really lighten up. She focused on reshaping and leaving the shaded areas where I preferred.
There's also a laser removal place in San diego. Not sure what area your in but Id recommend both carol and the laser spa (skinny beach)

Here is the first removal after 2weeks healing. The red undertone of the pigment is coming through, and my skin is still pinkish from healing. I can already tell that some of the dark pigment has lifted and that there is no scarring. I brushed my brow hairs down so you can see better, but when they are in place its not verynoticable. It should be about 4 treatments to get rid of these ugly things...I am happy with the progress so far and will continue with removal... I will keep you all posted

So glad to hear removal is going well! Isn't Carol the sweetest? I've been consulting with her about removing my brows (a few hairstrokes at the front of each brow) and will be beginning the process in a few months time after they fade more.

My reply with Carol's Instagram details and website links was deleted my the community managers on here. If you just Google Carol Packman Sherman Oaks you'll find her. She has a website with lots of examples of her removal work as well as her full contact details. She also has lots of positive reviews on Yelp and has recently started an Instagram too which is her surname followed by first name. Good luck!

I think it has been almost four weeks after first removal, and my brows already look SO much better. I almost LIKE them. They are pretty much healed and most of that ugly pinkish purple went away. I can definitely see that pigment has been removed without further permanent damage. I need to make my next appointment, I can't wait!

Great progress!! Can't wait to keep seeing your progress over the coming months. I am currently waiting for mine to fade a little more (as per Carol's advice) before starting my own removal journey. Please keep posting about your progress, it certainly gives a lot of hope to others out there. It's funny you go to somewhere that is a very expensive/reputable place that everyone raves about that never think that A) you'll be the one customer who gets someone on a bad day B) that "semi-permanent" is actually not true at all and that this is just like a regular tattoo. Thank goodness for true experts like Carol!
I'm so glad you were able to find someone you feel so comfortable with! Do you have any photos you're comfortable sharing?
