How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

I've Had 10 Laser Sessions on a Huge Full Color Tattoo
Apparently green is the hardest color to remove. Good thing half of my leg was tattoo'd green 18 years ago...
I've been working on removing this for the last 3.5 years. I go every four months. Below is the before picture and the other one is right before I had my 10th session.
I trust the clinic I go to a lot. They told me to space my appointments out four months apart. Anything less and I'm wasting money. Now that I've just hit my 10th session, they told me to space my appointments out six months. At this point, it really does take a few months of healing before noticing much change.
Color is brutal to remove, so it's a long process. I try not to think about it too much, and just stick to the schedule. It's a routine now.
The pain is satanic. It's terrible. If you have a small tattoo I'm sure it's a breeze, but large tattoos take a lot of time. This one is about 45 minutes per session. It feels like acid is being dumped on my skin. The blacks are the worse. It is x100 worse than being tattoo'd.
Healing is also terrible. Because it's so big and also on one of my extremities, it takes awhile to heal. It's also gross while healing.
That being said, at this point I should be 2/3's of the way done. Everything is going as it should be. I probably need another five treatments. Since I've been advised to only go every six months, that's another 2.5 years. Pretty wild it takes six years to remove something that took so little time to get.
Accepting this is a slow process is very helpful. If you think this is going to be quick, you're just going to drive yourself insane. If you're thinking of removing a tricky tattoo like this, just be patient and trust the process.
Holler if you have any questions!
