Breast Implants After Double Mastectomy - Tarzana, CA

In April 2012 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I had the option to do a double mastectomy with down time and then reconstruction. I interviewed more than 4 plastic surgeons in order to gain knowledge on the reconstruction part of the surgery. As all of this was very new to me, there were a lot of decisions that needed to be made in a timely manner. When I met Dr. Chahin and his office staff, we clicked immediately. The staff was attentive, on-time and very informative with any questions I had. Dr. Chahin made some recommendations with descriptive outcomes that he sent me home to think about. There were no immediate decisions being put on me as he wanted me to be just as comfortable with him as he would be in performing any of the surgeries needed. Bringing Dr. Chahin on "My Team", through so many surgeries to come, was one of the best decisions I made. He paired up with my surgeon and between the double mastectomy and reconstruction being done at the same time, I was amazed that not only did he perform the reconstruction but he also stayed through the entire double mastectomy procedure. His heart is in a very warm place and he truly cares about his patients and their well being. My surgeon was amazed with the procedure Dr. Chahin brought to the table as this was the first time he had encountered a nipple sparring surgery through dissection and not removal of the entire breast. I'm a 39 year old woman, who they both took into consideration, the cosmetic side of things for me. It was enlightening to see that they teamed up, worked more than well together and the outcome was beyond what I expected. I had my expanders put in, removed and replaced with implants, fat grafting and am currently preparing for nipple reconstruction. Throughout these 3 surgeries, I have only experienced fantabulous out of this group. My results stand for how proud I am to have Dr. Chahin and his staff on my team. I am always willing to share my results and any time I do, people are in awe with how great everything turned out considering the original diagnosis. Who knew things could turn out more than great. When you initially hear Breast Cancer you don't think this would be your outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Chahin. You are in good hands and with warm hearted people. I will forever be thankful to this team.

Office Staff are warm and friendly and any time I had to call or needed a call back, I was attended to. They too are very knowledgeable about what is going on and it is nice to see they are more than just answering phones or making appts., by far. Jennifer has always recommended top notch pointers to get me through surgery. I adore the Staff as they truly helped in making this journey as easy as possible. On my darkest, confused days, this TEAM has always given a smile and comfort along with more than wonderful results. Again, forever thankful for this team.
