January 14, 2018 UPDATE
I am having good success with tightening of the jaw line so far, but I can tell you that this DOES thin your face out!!!! If you have a thinner or gaunt face, you really might want to consider another option. I am 1/2 Asian and have a very wide chubby face so I am happy with my results, however, if I had a thinner face, I would be in trouble. For me, I went from a round "moon" face to having a upside down triangle taper. My cheekbones are visible (I do have Radiesse, but even before the surgery, they weren't that visible) and I do like the contour of my face now. It will be interesting to see how this progresses but so far, I am satisfied with my results.
2 Week Update
Well, it has been 2 weeks and 1 day and so far I am very happy with the results. I still have numbness in my lower jawline area, but you can see a marked difference already. I had a friend yesterday keep looking at me over lunch and I couldn't figure out why. I saw him later that day and he said " I can tell your face looks thinner." My jawline is getting pronounced and I think that because I started with a full face, I will have good results. I don't think that I would do this if I had a thinner face / less chubby. I think that is probably a key to getting good results. I will update in a week or two.
I finally decided after 2 years of reading horror...
I finally decided after 2 years of reading horror / amazing stories to finally take the plunge. I did go to my PCP prior to get a .25 mg Xanax as well as some Tylenol 3 for after the procedure. Jen was very thorough in explanation prior to treatment and we did 3 "passes" to my mid face and under chin/neck. I didn't feel a ton of pain, it was more like a strong heat for me with occasional "bee sting" zaps here and there. I had to have her give me a rest a couple of times on the sensitive area of the under chin. It was a 7-8 / 10 in pain but completely tolerable and no lingering pain (like with Fraxel type treatment). My jowls swelled and are swollen but nothing dramatic other than I had a fuller face to begin with. I do have numbness on my jowl area and under neck, but the feeling is slowly returning-nothing that is alarming. I also had slight yellowing/bruising on my under chin area where she concentrated on, but the discoloration lasted a couple of days. I could see an immediate lift and definition to the jowl line even through the swelling and I know that it will only get better over time. I am happy with the results and happy with the procedure thus far. I will try and review after a couple more weeks.

Jennifer
Jen was great! She spoke to me prior to treatment about what to expect and was very active in making sure I was doing fine.
