I've been heavy since I started having kids. This is the biggest I've ever been. 240lbs and I know I need this. I hate to look at myself in the mirror. My husband is the best he says he loves me no matter what I look like. We've been married 31 yrs. He is my rock. We went on our first cruise in August I was so miserable but I tried to keep up but it showed I was tired and got little grumpy cause I couldn't keep up with the other 2 couple's we went with. But my husband never left to go anywhere without me. I want to go next year and go go go do everything on the ship. Now I wait till they call say the insurance said yes. So please pray I get a go ahead.

How tall are you? What is your BMI?
Usually a BMI of 40+ is automatic approval. BMI of 35-40 with co-morbidities qualify. I would ask your surgeon's office to find out exactly why you were denied. They see this daily and should be able to help you.

Well I had my sleeve May 20th. Down 202 from 258. My Dr says I have to eat more. I drink alot so water is all I like since the surgery. But hard to get my eating down pat. So started eating 5-6 times a day to get my protein in. I stall at least 2 times month. Dr says cause I burn more calories than I'm getting in. Never thought I would ever hear that. But I've dropped 4 pant sizes since surgery so I'm happy. Still have a long way.

Struggling

I'm in my first week of the shake. Hard but I'm not hungry and that is nice. I'm very excited. But I told my work I needed off for my surgery . my boss says you don't need that. I was so disappointed that's why I haven't told anyone but my husband and kids. People really like to judge. They haven't lived my life struggling with the weight and pain I'm in. It's nice to read everyone's journey. I'm nervous about it but my hubby says I'm here so don't be worried. I'm do glad he has been with me these 33 yrs now maybe I can be able to go walking climbing up the falls in Tennessee soon.
I've chatted with you on Top 10 Tips.
So it's 30 days to let you know that you have coverage and can start the long process? Or 30 days and you get to schedule surgery?
