Please consider using another filler in this area - and if you decide to go with Radiesse, ask your injector to use a cannula. I received Radiesse in my nasolabial fold, and the filler occluded an artery. I suffered necrosis from above my nose to below the corner of my lip. I know that this side effect is not reported, but it happens more often than you would think. The treatment so far has been PRP, microneedling, and radio frequency laser. I think it's helping - but I don't know if my face will ever be the same.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I have used Radiesse many times very successfully. I know that these things can happen and I agree with you that a cannula is the best way to inject. Personally I think using cannulas are the only way fillers should be injected. Radiesse is a filler that your injector needs to be very experienced, and take all safety percautions even if it might cost a little more for the cannula.

I am not medically trained, but I could actually recognise from your picture that this is "necrosis" - I don't want to sound morbid - but my doctor made me do my research on the treatment before she would offer it to me. I first asked for Radiesse in my nose to mouth lines, but she was reluctant. I thought initially it was a confidence thing, but she has been doing this for years so I asked her if she had other concerns about it.
She told me that it was an amazing product, meant only for use in deep tissue, and that people were not using it correctly half the time.
She also insists on using a "microcannula" there because of the danger of pushing filler into the nose blood vessels.
It is really brave of you to share this. Many people don't understand these are serious treatments. Here in England you get doctors and nurses offering these treatments in beauty salons - I don't think they would explain all the risks in detail.
Well, my prayers are with you, and I will put up my Radiesse pictures soon!
Don't give up, your skin will heal soon.
