3 weeks post op

Still in the healing stage. I have a small amount of bruising and swelling. The under side of lay arms feel numb to the touch, which is normal. Also, very itchy. No swelling in my hands and my rings fit again. I am starting to see some loose skin. Dr. Gruber made it very clear to me that that might happen because of my skin type. I’ll have to wait 5-6 months before i can decide on a mini-brachioplasty/skin removal. I still love my new arms and would absolutely do it again.

Making progress

Still recovering. Swelling in my hands is a lot better this afternoon. They’v been so huge that I couldn’d make a fist. I still have major rubbing going on where the compression garments end in my arm pits. They’ve been raw and bleeding, but I figured out what helps a little. Ive been putting gauze pads under the seams. They just have to be constantly adjusted as they come out after I’ve been moving some. Now they are scabbed over, thank goodness. Still very uncomfortable but better. My arms are still a pretty dark purple color with a yellow rainbow on the sides of my breasts. Pretty! Arms are still a little sore to the touch, but better too. Definitely making progress in the healing direction. I’ll be really glad when I don’t have to wear these garments. ;-)

She is That Good!

Dr. Gruber is an incredibly talented surgeon. When I was thinking about getting lipo on my arms, I did a lot of research. My husband is a physician and I know that there are certain credentials to look for, when choosing a doctor. I was looking for a board certified plastic surgeon and also, a surgeon that had a lot of consistent results in the procedure that I wanted done. Dr. Gruber fit the bill. I am 56yrs.and am not expecting to look 30 again. I just want to feel good in my older skin. I thought the only thing I could do was to have an arm lift/brachioplasty but just couldn’t get past having a giant scar down my arm, not to mention the down time etc. Then, I came across Celebrity Arms! I was so impressed with the results. Her before and after pictures clearly show her skill. I read and watched a video of it being done. Dr. Gruber is a pioneer in this procedure. I’m sure that no other surgeon would have agreed to do lipo on me because of my skin being on the loose/wrinkled side. My only option would be a full brachioplasty. She did make me understand there were no promises made that my skin would snap back and that i might have some loose skin and possibly need a small amount of skin removed. I won’t be able to see my final results for 5-6 months. But, immediately after the first arm was done the loose skin looked very minimal. The next day the skin looked the same. If its minimal, it won’t be enough to bother me. I am already looking into getting another area done. She is that good and I’m a huge fan!
