WORTH IT$3,500
Well it's actually 6 months almost since my surgery and still love my ankles. I promised a photo and here it is. This was taken last month when i saw Dr Su for a follow up. If you are wondering about the lines in my ankles...those are from shoes that fit your feet like a glove. maybe i will post in a year...i dont see how much more they can change. Anyway, im going this winter or maybe next to see Dr Su so he can lipo my arms and then i think I'm done with all the parts that i hate. If anybody has questions, please dont hesitate to ask....

Thank you for your postings! It is so hard to find cases of calf and ankle lipo. Your results are terrific. I'm scheduled for lipo on my calves, ankles, knees, hips, and thighs in August. I'm waiting til then so I don't need to spend the short summer in a CG. My legs are worse than yours were when you startedbut I am hopeful. My goal is to be able to wear a dress again without feeling awful. I also swell by the end of the day so know there will be issues from that but I'm ready to do this. Seeing your results is encouraging. Thanks again.
Thank you! I don't think the photos we post here really show the results in detail. Every time I pull them up the are skewed and I'm not pleased with they way it looks. It doesn't give my surgeries the justice they deserve. But anyway, I've had my whole lower body done. inner/outer thighs and inner knees, and (knees (which I don't notice a difference)), hips and waist sides. Unfortunately, due to other medical reasons, I was not able to work out and some of the areas filled back in and will most likely need a touch up. For you, I've seen some photos of women's legs a lot worse than mine and when they were done, they looked a lot better than mine. I was amazed. Unfortunately I have very thick skin and the doctor couldn't do much more than what he did. So I have no doubt that you will look great when done. I hope you post some photos. Remember one thing, you may not notice differences for a while, especially in the lower legs, but be patient and you will be painful, especially the inner thighs for a couple weeks. When I had my inner thighs done, I walked like a grandma for 2 weeks. I would say that that area is so sensitive. After your surgery, you will immediately see what you will look like after the swelling is said and done and you will be super excited but you must have patience. Another bit of advice, I started taking Arnica pills 1 week prior to the surgery and continued for about 2 weeks after. I noticed a difference because one of my surgeries I didn't take it and the bruising lasted a long time. With arnica, the bruising was not nearly as bad. I took Arnica that was extra strength but don't remember the brand. it was pellets that you put under your tongue to dissolve. I do swear by those but maybe for some people it doesn't work. Anyway, if you have any questions prior or after your surgery, I'm here for you. Best of luck and hope to hear back from you when your done. :)
Thanks for the tips and encouragement. I'll be sure to post my experience--and I'll start looking for the arnica now :)
You may want to talk to somebody who is a lipedema and/or lymphedema specialist before you go through with surgery. Because you are swelling, you are retaining lymph fluid, and lipo carries the risk of further damaging lymph vessels.
pearshape, who are your comments directed to?
Thanks. I am following on that--Really just learned about lipedema the last few weeks. Funny the medical community doesn't seem too aware of it. I was glad to learn lipo actually can help with that condition. Your legs look so great. Very shapely ankles. You must be so pleased.
I think I messed up the flow of the comments. Pearshape was directing to me cuz of my comment about swelling. I responded to her thinking you made the remark. A little confused...
Hi, can you do an update? I am wanting calf lipo and am looking at peoples results
Thanks for sharing this! Just wondering, are the results totally smooth? Also did he do all around the calves? I've been researching this and some doctors wont do it circumferential.. (all around).. Only in a spot area of the calves.

5 month update

Not sure if the ladies who read my previous comments (and had surgery by Dr. Su) will read this but just in case, here's the latest update. BTW, thank you for seeing Dr. Su; he is an amazing doctor with mad skills. I must admit that even after 5 months and still minimal swelling, I am so excited about my ankles/calves. Every time I look in a mirror I just can't believe the difference. This sounds silly but when I get up in the morning, I lay in bed, lift my legs in the air and look at my ankles because that's when there is no swelling and you really get to see the results. So I just lay there and stare at them. By the end of the day my legs are pretty swollen but that is normal for me, even prior to the surgery but they are still skinnier than before. I sometimes get some soreness in the ankles and just a tad bit of numbness is lingering but it doesn't stop me from running or anything else. I will tell you that I have 1 regret....not getting this done sooner. My self esteem has risen and I actually wear shorts and skirts now. I will hopefully get around to updating this with photos. If you have been contemplating this surgery, please go get a consult and just do it. It's a little rough in the beginning but I promise it will get better and if you have a good doctor, you will be astonished with the results. And if you live in Tampa, go see Dr. Su and his staff at Artistic Lipo.

Your legs look fantastic and just totally natural. I am sure you are just so so happy. Thank you for sharing your story .
How long before the swelling goes away completely?
Well they still swell when im on my feet all day or sit too long, but the major swelling took a little over a month to subside.
I live some distance away from Tampa and am hoping Dr. Su can do a distance consultation. But I am really excited to have the possibility of thin ankles! I have a small frame and people think I'm crazy for wanting lipo- but these people never see me in shorts or skirts though so they don't know what I'm hiding. It's hard for others to appreciate how much thick calves and ankles can lower your self esteem!
Your legs look awesome btw and if mine look any near yours when I'm done I'll be ecstatic!
Ahhh going to Dr Su in the AM for the same prosedure scared but sooo excited too..thanks for posting!!
Please let me know how it goes! I am scheduled this in 2 weeks!

Post Op 1 week

Here are a couple photos 1 week after my surgery. Minimal bruising as you can see. The biggest complaint is that my arches and Achilles tendons are very sore, so wearing shoes with a high arch insert is very uncomfortable. I'm not in any pain just discomfort. It feels like what a bruise feels like but with throbbing. The compression stockings are annoying. I take them off for a couple hours every day but it feels better with them on. Still no issues with walking but walking down stairs is uncomfortable since it's a hard to flex my feet. Well, that's all for now.

Ur clves n ankles look slimmer! I dint even know those areas could b lipoed. Were u able t walk immediately after d op
Oh yes, but they get extremely sore, as if you did thousands of calve raises. It was hard going up stairs but harder going down. It took a couple weeks to where you starting walking normal again.
Wow, talk about an immediate change!
You can clearly see the change - how are you doing lately ?
I am doing great. I took 1 month post surg pictures but have yet to post them...keep forgetting and yet It's almost 2 months now. My legs are still a numb in certain areas and it's still sore to the touch. They do swell up during the day, still wear compression socks and elevate at night. What was remarkable though is that I was able to start running a little over 2 weeks after the surgery. I had to start off slow but back to my normal pace. Everytime I look down I still can't believe I finally have ankles. Thanks for asking.
That is so great to hear - I didn't know it was possible - it looks really good too!
