Soooo swollen... And now weird bruising

Surgery was Wednesday morning & it's Saturday afternoon. The swelling is worse than its been thus far. I can barely walk. I'm confined to my bed with my feet elevated & it sucks! My ankles feel so heavy. I have doughnut ankles with dark bruising below my inner ankle bones. It feels like there's a pocket of fluid underneath that area. I read & heard that I could develop a "seroma" after having this done-a pocket of movable fluid that forms a little movable abscess instead of having your body absorb the fluid. I sent a picture & called the nurse but she said unless it moves like a "water bed" when I press on it, it's just fluid.. Still feels/looks extremely strange.

I'm feeling really down because I want to walk around/workout & do chores & errands. I definitely underestimated the recovery process! This sucks. Hopefully will start getting better soon :( I've been crying a lot & feeling so down.. Could be the meds... Ugg

Swelling...

It's been 3 days since my "cankle" reduction. The swelling is massive. In fact in the morning it's bad but by the end of the day it's so bad I just want to sit with my feet in the air from 3 pm until the next morning.
I was concerned and called the nurse, Lynn, she said its normal to have this and not to worry because you reach your "peak" swelling at 2 weeks! Wow. She said to call back Monday morning and give her an update.

I'm sad because I want to move around more but right now I can't even drive! I definitely have doughnut ankles. Took a shower for the first time this morning and it was difficult due to swelling...but the hardest part is putting the garment on. It's painful and almost impossible and takes like 20 minutes. I almost just don't want to put it on but Dr Su said I need to leave it on at least 3 weeks. Damnit! I still think it's worth it, though...

I've always had thick lower legs/cankles. It's...

I've always had thick lower legs/cankles. It's mostly muscle but still considered a cankle due to my short lower legs... I found Dr. Su on YouTube doing some gals cankle lipo sculpture procedure & knew I had to do it!

Sent in pics 2 months prior, relieved phone/email consultation, sent paperwork, made down payment! Flew in September 6th 2016. Had the procedure morning of September 7th @ 7 am sharp. The nurse assistant-Lynn, was a complete gem I have to
Say! Extremely compassionate, understanding, totally amazing personality/heart makes you feel super comfortable.
Changed into smock, took some pain meds & then Dr Su draws on you. The next part is receiving the lidocaine, it sucks & it's the worst part. Little "bee stings" they call them, searing little pricks. Then it's all good from there! He used a little cannula to first inject the area with solution. This felt weird but mostly just like tugging & pulling. I'm squeamish & didn't look at my legs the whole time. It wasn't painful just weird feeling. Then you sit with your legs super full & swollen with solution until it feels like your gonna burst. Dr Su is very particular he really takes his time to get you from all angles until it's perfect. He's extremely skilled! You can really REALLY tell he truly cares about getting it just right. He uses another little cannula to suck everything out and then your done!

Then your sutures are closed and sealed with medical grade superglue, Lynn applied a natural salve overtop. After that it's quite a challenge to pull on the garment they provide as it is extremely tight & feels weird pulling it up your leg! They tape absorbent pads over the sutures and your finished.

Right afterwards your aren't that swollen but wait a couple hours... Wowww... I can hardly walk. Ankles are the worst part-huge and puffy. I feel soooo strange right now! It's 6:30 pm and my surgery was at 7 am this morning. My legs are numb but feel cold. The drainage is very heavy especially around the ankles. It's only painful from being so swollen, and definitely extremely painful when walking.

I've already cried a few times out of frustration & pain but I still don't regret it because something like this is life changing. This means wearing thigh highs boots, skinny jeans, and shorts.
