Disastrous Surgery

This was a devastating and traumatic experience that caused extensive and permanent damage to my face. I DO NOT want this to happen to anyone else. At just over 3 years post-surgery, I continue to suffer from the same issues. I use camouflage makeup in an attempt to try and look "normal", but to no avail. If anyone has any tips on how to disguise my hyperpigmented, shiny cheek lumps, I'd really appreciate it. Also, please don't believe the phony positive reviews!!

I am writing this review, with the hope that no one else will have to go through the pain and suffering that I have lived with for the past 2 years. This surgery is not a routine procedure, and can cause significant damage to your face, your self-esteem and your pocketbook. I wake up every morning, and see a damaged face in the mirror. I think that it is irresponsible and unethical for this doctor to appear on national television, leading you to believe that it is safe to have parts of your face burned off. Unfortunately, I fell for it, and now I'm living a nightmare everyday. I wish that it was possible to turn back time. I have hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, persistent erythema, volume loss, scarring, and an altered skin tone/texture (the treated skin is very waxy and shiny). To add insult to injury, my festoons did not go away, and actually look worse because the shiny, waxy looking skin makes them stand out more. Makeup does not help much, and I feel so self-conscious EVERY SINGLE DAY. I followed all of the post-op instructions to the letter, and this still happened to me. Please take my advice, and do not undergo this procedure. It is not worth it.

He was nice initially, but I was disappointed by his demeanour in subsequent office visits. I was all alone in Tampa, with no means of getting to a store. I politely asked if I could have a few Q-tips to apply Aquaphor to my face, and he rudely replied that he could not spare any. A member of his office staff, visibly embarrassed by his response towards me, kindly slipped me some when he wasn't looking. It was very hurtful to be treated this way. I had just paid close to $15,000 to have this surgery, and I was made to feel bad for asking for something that was worth mere pennies.
