Do not waste your money and time, for what may be, no positive results. While it may work for some, I personally wish I had not taken the chance. The staff and the doctor were not the problem. Zeltiq just did not work for me AT ALL. I wanted to give it a fair shot, so I had my lower abs treated twice, my upper abs treated twice, and love handles once. I should have stopped when I saw that one treatment did ZERO, not even a little bit of improvement. I wasted about $2,700 because I wanted to go "non-invasive", and did not want to fork out the money all at once. It took about 6 hours of my time, (over a couple of months), was uncomfortable, and I accomplished nothing except flushing $2,700 down the drain. Friday I had Vaser Lipo, ($3,300), upper abs, lower abs and love handles, which I should have done in the first place. I am sore, swollen and bruised, and wearing a compression garment, but at least I got to see the container of fat that was sucked out of those problem areas. I am fifty something, 5' 5", was 125 lbs., exercised regularly, ate healthy, but in the last couple of years, I started getting a flabby midsection. No diet or amount of exercise helped it, I just kept getting more barrel shaped (like my mother, and her mother) and gaining weight, all in my midsection. I am now looking forward to seeing the results of the Lipo after I heal.

It didn't work for me either. I wasted more money than you, $1,200.00. I agree with you, seeing that container of fat is the only way to prove that the fat has been removed. If fact I wrote something similar in my neg review. Believe it or not, and it's astounding, the medical doctor suggested a third procedure for a reduced price. Am I retarded or what, if two didn't work why would three? The esthetician who performed the procedures was very supportive and went out of her way to make me comfortable but that doesn't matter too much when you loose thousands of dollars. She should have been forthcoming with me in the first place. What I really needed was a tummy tuck.

$2,700 down the toilet for me! That was almost what I spent for lipo! Of course I was told I was "the perfect candidate" at Tampa Vein & Cosmetic. If they were honest, they should tell you, if you see no results after one or two treatments, it will not work for you and you will be wasting your money to continue!!! After 4 months I am very, very happy with my lipo results, I have a couple of small areas that are a little fatty still, but I am going to see if my doctor can do a touch up in those areas. All in all, an awesome result, I have a figure back, no tummy roll, and no love handles.

Thanks so much for the response. It gives me more incentive to go through with the liposuction, especially since you are so happy with the results. Since we both reside in Florida, it's kind of difficult not to get lipo since wear fewer clothes then other people. Did you have to go under? I definitely have fear about that.

I went to Dr. Stanley Castor, (Tampa Palms) he is awesome, as is his staff. I exercise daily, eat healthy, but with hormone changes came weight gain around my mid-section- my size 6 was turning into a size 8, and nothing I did helped to get it under control. I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got worse. I went to Dr. Castor because of the online reviews he had. When I went to him for my consultation, he was honest, which is what I wanted. He told me he could definitely help me get my figure back, but I was not going to have the body of a 22 year old again (I wish!!!). I completely understood that, but appreciated him telling me, as I am sure there are women that go to him and expect miracles. I was comfortable enough with him to call within two days and book my lipo. As to you concern about anesthesia-- I was given the choice-- I could have anesthesia or option B, sedative drugs (Valium, if I recall). I chose the drugs and stayed "awake" throughout the procedure, which took, I think, a couple of hours. I wasn't at all uncomfortable. When all was said and done, he had removed over 2 liters of fat from my abdomen and love handles, (which even surprised him because he said he didn't think I had that much) -- I even took a picture of it. I had the lipo on Friday, and went back to work Monday. The first week was a [RS bleep], I had horrible itching, some soreness, and I wore a compression garment for about 6 weeks, BUT, I would do it all over again, and wish I had done it sooner. Like I said before, I still have a small section of fat that I am going to ask him to remove, which I hear is not uncommon.

You have really helped me a lot. It really doesn't sound so bad and I have a pretty high discomfort tolerance. I can understand the hormone changes. The times comes when you have no hormones and you pick up that old lady fat like I have. My Mom had a perfect figure even into her forties but that changed slowly but surely entering her fifties. She walked every day of her life at least two miles but the fat stuck. She also did Tai Chai and Yoga. She was about 180 lbs during her seventies and eighties despite walking and eating prudently. She started out as 120 lbs as a young person. You have given me hope.

Sorry the cool sculpting didn't work for you. I had my lower abs done (3 c sections created a pocket of fat that would not budge). A few days later, I had smart lipo on my legs and hips. Was hoping the cool sculpt worked so i didn't have to go back and do my abs. And, it was fabulous. One treatment took care of most of the pocket. I am just shy of 4 weeks out and its almost gone . I will probably do it one more time for good measure, but it worked even better than they said it would for me!
I hope your Vaser results turn out well. Please keep us posted on your progress!
