VI precision plus peel Day 2

Day 2: I washed my face when I woke up and then applied the Post Peel Protectant. I applied a thin layer of aquaphor ointment after 30minutes and left for work. Everyone said I looked like I had been in the sun. My lips are dry and uncomfortable. I felt fine all day with moderate "tight face" feeling. I applied the Post Peel Protectant twice more throughout the day and followed with a thin layer of aquaphor (over my lips too). Studies have shown that wound healing is faster and better (with less complications) when the wound bed is moist. I think cracking and dry skin is not a good way for the burned skin to heal. I plan on applying the last precision packet and precision plus packet tonight a few hours before bed. I will also take a benadryl and apply aquifer before bed. Fingers crossed that the night goes well.

VI precision peel Day 1

I went to work and had not problems. 6 hours after the VI precision plus was applied I gently washed my face, neck, and chest with cool water and patted dry. Once my skin was 100% dry I applied the "dark green" towellete and felt mild stinging. There was extra "juice" in the package so I dripped it onto the toweled and rubbed vigorously over my "problem" areas. My eye lids were a bit itchy several hours later so I applied the Post-Peel Protection and had an increase in itching. After like 10 minutes the itching resolved.
I also wanted to add that I took a zyrtec the night before the peel and the morning of the peel. I am trying to keep inflammation under control. I will keep applying the 1% hydrocortisone Post Peel Protectant. I also have aquophor ointment I will use to protect my skin as needed. So far everything is going smoothly.

I am a 33 year old mother of 3 with normal skin. I have grown up in Florida and have had years of sun damage I want to erase. I have had IPL over the years with moderate success, but I wanted to try a chemical peel and see if results are better. I went with the VI precision plus peel. I don't have much to say yet. My face was washed and degreased. The peel was applied on my face, neck and chest. I applied aquophor ointment on my lips and the commisure of my lips to avoid any cracking/ peeling. I am heading to work and it feel and looks like I had a sunburn/ windburn. I'll keep you guys posted on the steps and results.
