WORTH IT
Hey all - I'm here to share my experience with Biocorneum Advanced Scar Treatment by Sientra. First, I have to disclose that, "I received this complimentary product through the RealFriends program.". I'm excited to try this on my breast lift scars!
I've included photos of the product instructions and also of my scars. I'm 4.5 months post. While my scars are relatively flat, they are really red. I'm hoping the Biocorneum will help reduce the redness! Sientra recently acquired the rights for Biocorneum. I'll update with new pics in a month, or sooner if there are any changes! Wish me luck!

One month using biocorneum
Hey all! Hope you guys are healing nicely :-) just a quick update on my review. Sometimes with the lighting it is hard to capture true color, but I can tell that my scars definitely are not as red as they were a month ago. I'm only five months post op, so it's too soon to even think about scar revision, I will worry about that when I'm one year post. But for now, the biocorneum is really helping I think! Will keep you all updated and post more pics as I see progress.
And for anyone reading this if you're not following my other review, I'm getting a slight revision in September to hopefully even up my nipple hieght. My left one, as you can see, was slightly bottomed out after my revision.

I'm hoping if I stick with it long enough, that the scars themselves will actually fade! I hate my areola scars. They are worse with the revision then they were with my first surgery :(. My first surgery he used dissolvable stitches, this time I had to go get the stitches removed and I think it caused the scars to stretch more. But right now I will settle for them being less red, and they are definitely less red! :-)

They honestly do not look bad at all!!! I had my boobs done 10 yrs ago with dissolvable stitches and there's no trace of a scar. I didn't use BioCorneum then. I've used it on my last surgery which was 4 months ago. I'm tinkled pink with my non visible scar around my nostrils. You can see it in my review. Good luck. You look great

I wish he would've used the dissolvable stitches this time around. But it is what it is. I just checked out your review! Your scar looks amazing! There's barely any trace of it at all! Lucky girl :-) I will keep up with my biocorneum so that maybe I have a nice result like you!

I can definitely see a difference in the scarring. I'm sorry you have to go back for a revision. Ugh. I hope it goes well!!

It's definitely helping with the redness, so the scars are a little less noticeable. And yes, another revision. I'm getting a second opinion though because I honestly can't find much info on his procedure for correcting the issue. I just want to be sure this time because I want this to be the last surgery I have on my boobs for a while. 3 in 2 years is crazy. Seriously, I can't really talk about it in the real world as people will think I'm nuts. They thought I was crazy going back to my original surgeon to begin with and now I may be going to him for a third time. When I say that "out loud" it does kind of sound crazy. Hence another reason I need a second opinion....

I can understand that. On one hand it was his job to get it done correctly, whether that took one or three tries. On the other hand though, it is fearful going back to someone who's already messed up, and especially in your case twice. I agree you should get a second opinion, would going to a different doctor for the revision be more expensive?

Just a quick update
Although I hate my boobs, the Biocorneum is doing a wonderful job reducing the redness of my scars! I've only been using it appropriately six weeks and there truly is a noticeable difference! This is a fabulous product and I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you, Spurt. They have faded even a little more since my last update too. One thing I might mention is I am very fair skinned so the redness is even more pronounced. I started using a self-tanner because 1. It's so hot here and I have no desire to literally bake in the sun anymore! And 2. We have to keep our boobs and scars covered.... using the self-tanner on my boobs has helped sort of blend in my color better. I don't use it on my scars or course but my skin is tanned instead of white so the scars are not as noticeable!
