Had Radiesse in nasolabial folds in past with hardly any results after 3wks. Almost 3yrs later decided to try more long term filler that would have significant softening effect on lines from corners of lips downward. I lean towards conservative treatment (e.g. botox on forehead that doesn't remove lines but reduct them) but I had hoped for a little more results with the more expensive filler. After leaving office I took my own "after" photo. I can see softness but not really any more aggressiveness on lines than Radiesse did...I am now hoping for a longer "Hold" of the work and will post updates at 1 mo, 6mo & 1 yr if I remember. I can see myself wanting about 1/2 of a syringe on the bottom area only if possible, but I do like the effect on the lines on sides of nose, although wasn't concerned about those going in. Procedure was very easy. MD very professional - did skin test on hand first, gave me option to go home to see if reaction or elect to move forward, used numbing lidocaine w/fan to deter from feeling needle going in and then injections were not even felt at all, provided small ice pack for drive home.

Thank you for posting! Did the doctor say the results would be immediate or take a few days?

I think majority of result is immediate but you have swelling & ultimately some product settlement so there would be slight changes over the weeks possibly. Body doesn't absorb the little" balls" in filler but the solution the balls are in does is how I understood it. MD waits 4 weeks for return appt. before attempting next injection to give you an idea.

I was told bruising possible...use arnica...the filler part would go away after 3+/- months and full effect would be back in about 6 mos. to a year as the collagen starts to form.

Day 3 Bruise showing up at Injection Site

This morning someone in my family mentioned I had dirt on my face ha! When I went to wash it off noticed it was actual black & blue in area of injection sites but mostly on one side. I know everyone is different in reactions but since I have a meeting at my Corporate Office this week I thought I would share so if you are considering procedure right before big event - might want to have some lead time in. The area with bruise is also the side w/most sensitivity when I do the required massage to the area. I tried using my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye & Smashbox BB Concealer but not having the best luck covering so I'm going to have to head to Ulta for coverage help.

an orange concealer would take care of the bruise. What dr did you see?

My dr never told me to massage! They told me not to drink through a straw and not to move to much that's it.
