55 hours PO

The hospital anesthesia has finally worn off. It made me nauseous -bleck- and I am down to 1 Percocet every four hours. The itching is driving me insane and the drains are uncomfortable. My belly is crazy swollen and I still haven't gone to the bathroom. Thankfully I check in with my PS tomorrow and will get his advice. I'm also thinking my scar seems s little high. Maybe it will settle lower?

Not quite 24 hours

The way I feel right now I can't imagine going back to work in 8 days (which is what the cowboy doc said-the one I didn't choose). I can't even imagine two week! This hurts ladies. No two ways around it. Even with the percoset. As a surprise my mom and husband rented a hospital bed for 2 weeks. It was waiting for me when I got home. So I'm parked out in the family room in front of the TV. So everyone can visit! It wasn't a bad deal $150 for two weeks. And now I don't have to worry about ruining my sofa recliners

Provider Review

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
2452 Mahan Dr., Tallahassee, Florida

My first I impression was positive. Especially given I did not know what to expect. I was surprised that they do photos the first visit even before committing to surgery. I have felt less exposed giving birth to 4 babies than I did with my little paper gown and paper undies discussing my abdomen. But they did a great job making me as comfortable as I could be. First there was the physical exam to determine if my hernia was reducible (no) and then Dr Harper made some lovely ink drawings across my lower abdomen to show me the rough location of my scar, the skin that will be used for my new belly button and where the lipo will be on my love handles. We spent over 2 hours in his office discussing every possible question I could think of. Then a week later we met for another hour to go over more questions I thought of after I left.
