Very Happy!

I am so happy with my new body. I was so scared leading up to this and now I am just ecstatic!!! I look great and feel great too.

Due to loose skin and extra fat, I am going to have a revision done at the end of this year. My doctor didn't do a botch job or anything, this just happens sometimes. Dr.Ehret will be doing my revision along with lipo to my flanks.

I have a plastic surgeon friend who is retired that said that revisions are common as well and not to be discouraged. I trust my friend and my surgeon.

I am very much looking forward to wearing a bathing suit this summer!!!

Drains....

SW2010
So I still have one drain and it is a real pain in the a**. With Christmas right around the corner, I have nothing to wear because this drain hangs in your pants and you have to wear something loose. I have one pair of dress pants that are loose. Inhave worn them several times this week. I'm over it! Lol.

But as a medical professional myself, I understand how important this drain is and don't want to rush it. I will just wear those pants again..... but maybe I will go shopping and get a nice shirt to go with them ;)

Here are some recent pics. They are from 2.5 weeks post op.

3 weeks post op

SW2010
I am 3 weeks post op today. This last week has been a little hard for me. On Saturday morning I woke up having severe chest pain. It was on the left side and hurt so bad that I would start crying. It would come and go every 5 minutes or so. It wasn't my implant or pain that seemed to be from the surgery, but was deep inside, under the bone. My husband took me straight to the ER. They automatically started doing testing. After a normal EKG they did blood work. My D Dimer test came back positive which indicates a blood clot. So they did a Cat scan of my chest to look for blood clots and found nothing. The doctor said that the D dimer cab be positive sometimes after a major surgery. They gave me IV morphine and an oral Oxycodone to get top of the pain. It finally started to go away.

Whoops, I wasn't done. Anyway, the moral of the story is to not quit your pain meds too early. I was only taking one pain pill a day and I think that is why that happened. I am ok now.
