Dr Pratt is a very nice surgeon who called me at home that night of surgery. I did a lot of research before deciding to use his services. I am concerned with the chemosis which wasn't told to me as a possible complication. Overall, I am not sorry that I did this surgery. Being patient and waiting for swelling to go down or the eyeball to heal is the hardest part.

I had the same a year ago. You looked just like I did after surgery. It's uncanny! You now look fab. Congrats. I hope the chemosis is gone. Mine took 6 weeks to go.

Total time for chemosis to finally go away was about 12 days. Felt like an eternity. Steroid drops were the key.

Hi Im from Denmark and I had laser under my eyes to, but now 3 weeks after, I'm still suffering frem extreme redness under my eyes. It can be covered a bit with make-up but you can still "see through" the foundation. How lang before your redness disappeared? // Tina

I have redness under eye. My scabs were gone within about a week. I had a light laser done for fine wrinkles. I use moisturizer first, a "full coverage" concealer for under eyes made by Sephora. (I bought it online). I use Urban Decay foundation primer before foundation application for the foundation to stay on longer, Almay clear complexion foundation. I am fair skinned so I turn and stay red for longer than most. Maybe try concealer for under eyes. It's amazing. Good luck!!!

Thanks, will try your way ;) I'm also happy with my upper and lower and I had a eyebrow lift as well, but I do wish the healing would go a bit faster ;) ;)

I had bags under my lower eyes that bothered me. I decided to do upper bleph as well for heavy lids and CO2 laser under eye. Had twilight sedative. Developed chemosis immediately. Severe swelling, not what I expected. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and still lots of upper eyelid swelling and numbness. Chemosis remains problematic but am seeing an opthalmologist in a day. Not sorry I chose this. My lower bags are gone, my laser under eye skin is soft and smooth.

I'm sorry you got chemosis- that is no fun at all.  Hang in there- it will take a few months (like 6+) before everything is healed.  I'm glad you are still happy you did it.  Let us know what the opthalmologist says!

I iced 15-20 min every hour that I was awake for 3 days. I slept in a recliner so not as much swelling. It would have been much worse.

I'm day 19 today from surgery. My chemosis seems to have corrected itself. I do have somewhat of a dry eye. I use saline solution which doesnt bother me at all. I wore make up for the first time yesterday and wow what a difference it was applying eyeshadow and eyeliner. I loved it. I need to find a gentle makeup remover that doesn't involve rubbing or irritating my eyes. I am happy with the results so far. Dr Pratt was an opthalmologist previously so this put my mind at ease.

Did you have your surgery awake or under anesthesia?
