42 Years Old, 2 Kids and Ready for my Breast Lift and Augmentation - Tacoma, WA

I’ve been reading profiles on this site for a couple of months and it’s finally my turn to write one of my own. It hit me today as I bought some post-surgery necessities…a wedge pillow, post surgery bras, frozen peas (AKA ice packs) and Tylenol. THIS IS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN!!! I’ve got 6 short days to go before my surgery date!

I’m currently wearing size 34DD or size 36D bras. I’m just shy of 5’8 and 140 pounds. I have two kids ages 5 and 9. I nursed each a short time. My nursing bras were special ordered from Nordstrom’s in size 36G. Let’s just say my girls have experienced better days. My left breast has always been larger than my right but this became more apparent after each baby.

I’ve wanted a breast lift and augmentation for years. In recent years I’ve spent more and more time in my bathing suit. I’m tired of looking for just the right bathing suit top only to have to adjust and readjust it all day long. I used to be able to manipulate my breast tissue with bras to look great in clothing but now, even that seems impossible at age 42 as they seem to deflate more and more. So it’s now or never!

My choice in PS was kind of a no-brainer. Doctor Ehret comes very highly recommended from two previous patients I know and his staff I’m fortunate to have come in contact with on many occasions in the past.

I had my pre-surgery appointment nearly two weeks ago now. My goals include symmetry, nipples the same size and pointing in the same direction, upper pole fullness without looking like a [RS bleep] star and balance with the rest of my body. I know many ladies want larger breasts but I’d honestly be pumped to have a nicer, perkier version in my same D-DD cup. After all my measurements were taken and wishes expressed, we decided on Sientra silicone implants with a Moderate Plus projection, 305 cc in the left and 325 cc in the right.

I almost forgot…I also asked if there was anything that could be done to bring my cleavage in closer together. He seemed to think he could tweak it a little with this type of implant but due to the shape of my chest, I will never have that close breast-kissing type of cleavage which is just fine with me.

The night after my appointment I hardly slept at all. I dreamt I got out of surgery with massive head-sized boobs I couldn’t hide if I wanted to… I promptly called and left a message first thing that morning to his scheduling coordinator asking her to subtract roughly 50 cc from each implant. She called back and talked me off the ledge. I left everything as it was. I am just soooo worried the size will not be right one way or the other. I felt like those sizers were an absolute waste of time because I’m not walking in with an A cup. I mean, I can’t exactly add a large implant in my bra to figure out size when I’m basically where I want to be – right?!

I decided I’m paying Dr. Ehret to pull from his knowledge and skill to interpret what will best work for me. I feel confident we’re on the same page about what I’m looking for so the rest is up to him. This is a difficult thing for my take charge kind of personality but I do trust him and decided I just had to hand over the wheel for my own peace of mind. So far I haven’t left anymore frantic calls to his scheduling coordinator so I guess this new frame of mind is working:)

I’d love to hear from some ladies around my same surgery date, February 10th. Thanks to all those who have been so forthcoming with their own stories! I hope my own experiences will help someone out there somewhere down the line too. I plan on posting some pics in the next couple days so check back!

Mine is the week after yours. This is my second lift and 323rd set of implants. The implants you are getting aren't huge don't worry. I currently have 700 cc's and I'm a DDD. My first set was 450 and I felt I was much smaller than I was expecting. With the breast tissue you have you will be a good size without being huge. Good luck and I'm looking forward to hearing how everything goes.

I don't know how tall you are but I went with a C cup and I am so extremely happy with the size. I can buy clothes right off the rack. I don't have to try anything on. They look full in a swimsuit but not huge. I don't have the cleavage but I think it's sexier without it. I'll be happy to send you pictures if you want to send me a text. (972-827-736 eight)

Personally I really think that if you're starting out with a 34DD a 300cc may put you a lot bigger than you want. Unless he's planning on taking out a lot of tissue. I started with a Full b/c and 300 already has me at a full D at least and i haven't dropped and fluffed yet and am only one week post op. I'd be very surprised if I ended up a C cup. Always trust your surgeon though. . He knows best for sure . Hes the expert. Not any of us on here !!

It is soooo hard to know what's right. I'm beginning to worry I went too small now. My PS did say I'll probably be in the DD or DDD area and I think I can be happy with that. If that's accurate I def wouldn't want larger than DDD. With my frame, I'm sure it will be fine.

I honestly thought i was gonna come out looking like a [RS bleep] star.. i was so scared.. i went with the absolute smallest implant he felt would work with my frame/body type.. we started at somewhere between 371-421 and i went all the way down to 304 morning of surgery..

300cc is already a C cup... so if you're adding that to your already DD's that's gonna be pretty big.... IMO

I went with the 305/325 cc implants. I have my compression bra/band on now. If anything they look smaller than I anticipated but we'll see in the coming weeks!

Oh you'll be bigger Than you think !! They are very compressed and flat right now. ! I started at a 34b and I'm already a 34d. So glad you made it to the other side. I didn't realize your surgery was so soon!! Happy healing

Honestly, this site has been my #1 resource since surgery. I spend a lot of time on here. Ive learned sooooo much about what to expect. Ive learned tip from other women. And the women on here support each other through the changes. It's incredible, because only women who have been through this, can understand what its like!! Im super happy for you!
