Decided to try Botox after a few years of debate. The jump came when I started involuntarily furrowing my brows when I would lie down at night trying to relax. My crows feet started early as heredity and being a lady who loves to smile and laugh all the time. I found a next to nothing deal and reviewed the clinic with my nurse friend who helped me do my homework.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to do this! And I also am glad I did this just before my Radiesse for my brow "1" and a non-surgical eyebrow lift. I believe the suggestion was 9 units each side of the eye and I believe 13 for the glabella. I made sure I stressed very clearly the desire to look untouched, just seeking to gently guide further skin aging and have brow furrow relief.

The injection was quick, virtually painless and results started nearly immediately. My only possible side effect was the first few days afterwards when I was desperately tired and watching tv, my vision seemed "lazy" or not super focused. That went away quickly.

Now on to why I am so VERY happy I had Botox, only 3 weeks later... I have frequent, strong eyelid twitches, those are apparently gone. My eyelids are a little on the hooded side and noticing the right is slightly sagging more than the left. It looks like I had a real eyebrow lift! Plus the fine crow lines are not visible on the sides of my eyes anymore. My eye makeup goes on smoother and is easier to apply because there are less creases and the skin actually seems to become more taut as each day passes. The physical stress of headache inducing brow furrowing is completely gone. So is the prominent "1" that was deep in my forehead. And the other wonderful part is it looks like I had a serious overall brightening and opening to my face. No more scrunched up apple face but I have all my lovely expressions and my face looks natural and in a graceful state of rewind in time.

I am planning to repeat this in 6 months in the same areas and I am strongly considering it for easing my jaw clenching and underarm for sweat reduction.

Botox was actually originally created to stop eyelid twitching (fun fact for the day).  I'm glad you are happy with your results.  Let us know if you decide to do your jaw and underarms :)

Thank you for that fact! I wish I could get insurance to cover the non-cosmetic part but the hassle is not worth the time value on the price I pay for the procedure, not to mention more stress wrinkles and aches! lol

I wish insurance was more open to it too- it helps so many people for non-cosmetic reasons.  And it is always nice to have less wrinkles as a side effect :)

I agree. Botox is needed in order to control my cluster headaches (sometimes equivalent to migraines) yet it's not covered by my insurance ....sigh.

about the mention of Radiesse

I re-read my review and I wanted to stress that it was totally unnecessary to need any dermal filler near the eyes this time after the Botox procedure, wasn't sure it that was clarified. I opted for my nasal labial folds and some touch-up on my jowls instead. Botox saved me hundreds of dollars! I have had the undereye tear trough done with a very small amount of Restylane last March and I'm going to have it retouched again tomorrow for a full on facial refresh!

Oops! Forgot to add one really important point! The office I go to offers rebates from the manufacturer. I earned $20 towards my next procedure from my last. My next treatment I'm only paying $4.75/unit after rebates and discounts with a minimum 40 unit advance purchase. PS-I am smiling hard in both pics :)

That is great!

Still loving the results! These pics show me 3 days post-Restylane with about 1/8 syringe for each tear trough. Together with the Botox, I am so pleased.
