3 WPO

WORTH IT$10,358
Today is the day I’m allowed to take the waterproof tape off! Annoying, painful experience but got it done. Am amazed how good the incisions look. I can start applying the salve now and will have to do this twice a day from now until 8 WPO at which point I can start using the silicon tape.
Boobs are starting to soften and drop but obviously still have a long way to go. Pretty happy looking back at my pre op pics now and seeing the difference. You can see that my left side is slightly higher as the bigger implant is on that side. Also my posture is horribly warped and my left shoulder sits higher and my torso is twisted, so it looks like my nipples point in different directions but it’s really just my weird shape :P

Looks good dear :) How are you now?
Hi! I’m good, although I had a bit of a freak out this week. I can feel the left implant move a bit when I lean forward. It feels like it’s sliding forward then back again when I stand up. It feels really weird and I dont like it! My right implant doesn’t do that at all. The other thing that happened was that I noticed when I use my pecs the left side implant moves out. The muscles are distorting the shape and I get a weird little dent in the side. No issue at all with my right! Anyway I started googling and just got a tonne of awful photos and articles bout muscle animation deformity. I emailed my PS and the nurse said everything is normal. But I don’t know if I could possibly make it worse or anything. Apparently most ppl get some sort of distortion when they move their pecs... How are you going? Have you noticed any of the things I have?
Wow I would be wreaking out too...I wreaked out because of mondor’s cord too even I already new they are just normal. This healing slowly and waiting thing isn’t for me as I am more like “right now” person haha, so it’s been hard to accept this asymmetric and difference between my boobs even I know they are going to change. Well my implants doesn’t move basically at all yet...they are softer, but no movements yet. How about size? Are you happy with the size you chose?
I know what you mean! I was reading everyone else’s posts thinking that I wasn’t going to be one of those impatient people that worry about every little twinge, but I’ve turned into one of them :-/ My husband has been away for a week and come home this morning and said they looked a bit smaller and were softer. I hadn’t noticed a change at all really but think they’re just dropping a bit. I’m happy with the size...I bought all these $3 bonds bralettes and I’m just about busting out of those so glad I didn’t go any bigger! I mean, so many girls might think that 250cc is too small but the way I see it, they fit my lifestyle and my frame and I didn’t want to have to dress around them. I’d have to buy a whole new wardrobe otherwise!
Post an update! I’m thinking 210-240cc and am short too so I’d love to see your results!
Hi! Please post an update would love to see how you are doing. Like you I just want a subtle look and am tossing with the idea of 275 moderate round that my doc recommended but I’m pretty small and I’m afraid even that might be too big!
Hi Kanora, I’ll post one this weekend as I’ll be 10 weeks PO and things are starting to settle nicely now :) I’m pretty happy with the size now tbh. No sign of boob greed at all. I think depending on the look you’re after, you would be happy with 275cc. I’ve just started running for about 10 mins at a time and I can definitely feel the larger left one. It feels heavy and I don’t like it too much. Maybe I’ll get used to it? So if you like to run and bounce around a lot, maybe err on the lighter side :)
Hi dear. How are you doing now? Would love to hear update.
I would love an update too!

2 weeks PO

I started back at the gym last week at 7 days PO, but at this stage am only allowed to walk on the treadmill. PS has specifically advised that we keep our heart rate below 100bpm. It’s about a moderate walk so feels very lazy when everyone is running next to me.

This week, at 14 days PO I’ve started to include isolated lower body exercises using the weights machines, so;
Seated leg extension - quads
Seated hamstrings
Inclined squats
Adductor
Abductor

I’m only using light weights and only choosing exercisers that don’t engage the core too much as ab exercises aren’t allowed for another few weeks. I think this is because whatever stitches are done internally pull at the bottom of my rib cage.

So far I’ve only put on 100g which is funny because I’ve now got an additional 540cc of silicon in my body. Seems I’ve lost a bit of muscle mass. As long as I don’t gain too much fat over the next few months leading to summer.

Boobs are *slightly* less firm now, dropping slightly but with still some tenderness on my sternum. I think they’re a little larger than why I wanted but bit late now...will just have to see how they settle down.

Mentor implant warranty

So, after surgery I was handed the serial numbers for each of the implants. Apparently they actually come with a warranty against failure but they only give you 60 days to register them online with the company.
So just a reminder for girls to do this!
Also, in Australia we have the National Breast Implant Registry which tracks failure rates, implants, explants etc of each implant type. Your PSs office should register your implants with this service. If they don’t participate in this program, there’s something not right so ask at your it’s consult :)

Good post :) I have Motiva implants and just register mine at their online page (they don't have any time limits tho). Did you have any insurance for your surgery? I have for one year, it was included on BA fee.
My PS has said that he’ll fix any issues that occur within the 12 month period following surgery. But this is only really limited to medical issues like capsular contracture, symmastia, obvious warping etc. If someone just wanted to go bigger or smaller then he won’t cover that obviously. But the only costs covered are his surgical costs. Anaesthetist and hospital admission fees are separate and these amount to about $5,000 so still not cheap!
