3 WPO
WORTH IT$10,358
Today is the day I’m allowed to take the waterproof tape off! Annoying, painful experience but got it done. Am amazed how good the incisions look. I can start applying the salve now and will have to do this twice a day from now until 8 WPO at which point I can start using the silicon tape.
Boobs are starting to soften and drop but obviously still have a long way to go. Pretty happy looking back at my pre op pics now and seeing the difference. You can see that my left side is slightly higher as the bigger implant is on that side. Also my posture is horribly warped and my left shoulder sits higher and my torso is twisted, so it looks like my nipples point in different directions but it’s really just my weird shape :P

2 weeks PO
I started back at the gym last week at 7 days PO, but at this stage am only allowed to walk on the treadmill. PS has specifically advised that we keep our heart rate below 100bpm. It’s about a moderate walk so feels very lazy when everyone is running next to me.
This week, at 14 days PO I’ve started to include isolated lower body exercises using the weights machines, so;
Seated leg extension - quads
Seated hamstrings
Inclined squats
Adductor
Abductor
I’m only using light weights and only choosing exercisers that don’t engage the core too much as ab exercises aren’t allowed for another few weeks. I think this is because whatever stitches are done internally pull at the bottom of my rib cage.
So far I’ve only put on 100g which is funny because I’ve now got an additional 540cc of silicon in my body. Seems I’ve lost a bit of muscle mass. As long as I don’t gain too much fat over the next few months leading to summer.
Boobs are *slightly* less firm now, dropping slightly but with still some tenderness on my sternum. I think they’re a little larger than why I wanted but bit late now...will just have to see how they settle down.

Mentor implant warranty
So, after surgery I was handed the serial numbers for each of the implants. Apparently they actually come with a warranty against failure but they only give you 60 days to register them online with the company.
So just a reminder for girls to do this!
Also, in Australia we have the National Breast Implant Registry which tracks failure rates, implants, explants etc of each implant type. Your PSs office should register your implants with this service. If they don’t participate in this program, there’s something not right so ask at your it’s consult :)

Good post :) I have Motiva implants and just register mine at their online page (they don't have any time limits tho). Did you have any insurance for your surgery? I have for one year, it was included on BA fee.
My PS has said that he’ll fix any issues that occur within the 12 month period following surgery. But this is only really limited to medical issues like capsular contracture, symmastia, obvious warping etc. If someone just wanted to go bigger or smaller then he won’t cover that obviously.
But the only costs covered are his surgical costs. Anaesthetist and hospital admission fees are separate and these amount to about $5,000 so still not cheap!
