Dr Drielsma’s hands are magic! My boobs look amazing! Very perky and still big! I am incredibly thankful to the amazing job he has done. My nipples are perfectly round and a great size, his stitching is neat and healing really well and he has made my boobs the perfect teardrop shape. There is a slight difference with the direction of my nipples but that is expected ... it takes me back to my initial consult when he said “Remember your boobs are sisters, not twins... and that will not change”. However.... I will be honest, Dr Drielsma does not have the best bed side manner... I kept having to remind myself "I am not looking for a GP i am looking for a kick ass plastic surgeon"... he was definitely more the latter.... Before the surgery, he kind of just came in, drew markings on me and smiled and walked out. So yeah... he is nice enough BUT ALSO REMEMBER HIS BOOBS ARE THE BEST! So i think thats more important really! Drielsma doesnt directly communicate with you throughout the process, you communicate with the ladies at the front desk, which I assume are nurses. Nicole is one of the ladies who was incredibly warm and helpful and full of advice. Nicole was incredible helpful and was on call for me before and after the procedure!

What size did you end up? You look like the size I wanted...I am 13 weeks post op and feel I was made too small...I only recently could even fit into a regular bra, I was so hard and swollen.
My nipples are up high like yours, which I like, but my breasts haven’t dropped yet...fingers crossed, I love your results.
Hey Kat! I didn’t start wearing underwirse bras until 6 months post op ... dr drielsma recommended 5-6 months ... I wear mostly sports bras now anyway
I think my breasts dropped pretty quickly ... i would continue wearing a good sports bra until they drop ... also loving the high nipple haha

Hi I think they removed between 750 - 850 grams all up ... they removed a lot more in one than the other !

Heh Heidi how are you? Just wondering how you’re travelling over a year post op? I’m undergoing this next year and am leaning towards Dr Drielsma. Can I ask how the skin looks now fully healed underneath your breast where it had come apart? Did it heal well? Also do you find underwire bras run on the skin underneath the breast x thanks heaps

Gosh am I glad i got a breast reduction!

Years of back pain, blisters, breaking my bras and overall discomfort is finally over!
It is a pricey procedure and my recovery was slower than most but i think it was completely worth every dollar!

I have tried to document every step of my procedure before and after! Enjoy!

Good day. Thanks for pics. I've been doing same trying to document the process. I have a very similar hole under my left breast. With the white gooky stuff. I. Told it's normal but it hurts cause the pads stick to it and it's raw. How long exactly did it take for those homes to close up??

Mine took a pretty long time to close up ! It was about day 60 that it it completely closed ...( so around 2 months ). However I used a product called ‘Aquacel Ag’ which is expensive and hard to get your hands on it but I had my own connections.... I think normal recovery would of been 3 months
The white gooey stuff is the tissue dying ... which is fine :.. your body will get rid of it ... I was a little hands on and got rid of it myself haha
Thank you for your reply. :). I'm told the white stuffs good but still it hurts the hole. And now I'm noticing it's getting wider and longer :( 3 months like this I will go crazy. I'm exactly 4 weeks post op today
Haha my definitely got bigger and wider and deeper before it healed ... it heals from the inside out so it’s a slow progress ... are you keeping it dry ? How are you wrapping ? I can suggest some techniques x
Yes please suggest all that you can. At the moment I am using abdo pads that I wear under my bra in the bottom of breast and change those 2 to 3 times a day cause they do get stuck sometimes to my skin. But its the only way I know to protect them.
