Tanned tatas!

WORTH IT$7,000
Just a quick photo update of my girls with some fake tan! Haha this is before I washed it off so it looks a bit yuck haha. I had my arms up and standing weird so they look a bit uneven but they're pretty symmetrical. Was a little asymmetric before surgery.

How are they looking now?

Um what was that cup size again?

lollylegs
So today I went to be fitted for a bra. My surgeon recommends no bra for two weeks post op and then a properly fitted, supportive underwire bra. Only one or two as the size will change over time. So off I went to a local boutique bra store that specialises in augmentation and mastectomy patients. After having a look at me, she went off and grabbed a bra, Freya brand, it fit perfectly. Then she mentioned the size, 8FF!!!! Which is a US 30H!!!!! ARGHHHHHH what on earth! In no way do my boobs look that big. I guess most of the time we buy bras that are ill fitting. The bra I got is a big huge ugly supportive bra that will be great under my work clothes, once I start buying pretty bras, I'm sure I'll fit a smaller size. Plus is still have swelling, so I'm not counting on this bra fitting me forever!

You are so funny, Lollylegs. You look so amazingly beautiful already at 11 days! Wow! Augmented boob sizing is so different then natural big boobs that can move around, swing, and be squishy, especially when the augmented boobs are so new. You won't be in that huge, ugly bra forever, but you will definitely feel better with the support, I think, especially when you return to work. 30H does sound quite impressive, lol. Be kind to yourself and happy continued healing. xoxo

Oh thank you for the lovely compliment. I just gave myself a great spray tan, avoiding incisions of course, and I feel like I like them even more when they are tanned! I agree with the augmented boob vs natural boob sizing. That huge bra looks like it covers half my body! Hahaha. I wanted something fairly dull so it can go under any colour/material without being seen.

All my my bras pre BA were either nude or black. I was very practical, lol. It was a wise decision on your part while you wait for D&F. You just need two or three bras in the interim. I like self tanners as I am really fair/white otherwise. I've only used a lotion base. I hope you post updated photos soon. I'd love to see your results. xoxo

Yep. I've got a drawer full of black, nude and white bras. All my undies are the same, well nude and black haha. I've been wearing playtex underwire free crop top things since surgery. My boobs are still tender so I don't want to wear the underwire one yet even though the surgeon recommends it. It's just not comfortable yet. I'm just waiting to hear back if I can wait a little longer. I use mousse tan. At the moment I use one called minetan. It's amazing! So many colour bases to choose from depending on your skin tone.

Omg, I'm so worried. I'm seeing chan also. I'm about a B now and I've opted for 420cc and whatever he puts in the other to make them match, I filled a DD cup bra at my consult. I'm soo scared I'll end up with super huge boobs. How are you finding them now?
May 26, 2016
Hi Hun. My boobs are great, I am really happy with how they turned out without getting the lift. I will probably get a lift a long way down the track once gravity starts to change how they look now. I am still the same bra size. I fit an 8FF, 8F, 10E depending on the brand. The biggest advice I can give is not to get hung up on the bra size. If you like the look of the sizers then go with that! Whatever letter it turns out to be doesn't matter. Mine look much the same as the sizers. He did tell me id be a DD though. The only downside to not being the DD I wanted is that when I see a pretty bra, I know it's probably not made in my size. I've said good bye to bras and things, honey birdette and all the other "bra shops". I shop at Myer and specialty boutique bra shops. Swimwear is also a pain in the butt. Go back and try the sizers again, that's what I did. I picked the exact same size the second time without knowing. Take lots of photos from all angles because you'll forget what they looked like in person. Once you pick your size, tell yourself that these are 100% the size you want and remind yourself of how you felt the day you picked them. What band size are you now.

Ohh good!! I'm so happy to hear that babe. I noticed you said you had pseudootosis breasts, is that similar to tuberous breasts? Because I have that :( did he say you could have a risk of double bubble? My apologies if you've said it somewhere already. He said a lift would be good for me but because I haven't had kids yet its a bit of a waste, Kathleen assured me if opt for a bigger size and the higher the profile the less chance of developing double bubble.
I'm still happy with the size I picked, but I am quite worried about not being able to find nice bra's. The size I chose don't protrude on the side which is what I want. I only took one photo at my consultation. Is there any way I can post a photo comment? or inbox you a photo? I'm very new to this site. I wear a size 10b or 12a atm

Did you have to pay again to go and try the sizers?
May 26, 2016
Pseudoptosis is different to tuberous. It's where you appear to have breast sag, but the nipple is above the crease. I was advised of the double bubble risk too. I wasn't advised about the snoopy/waterfall deformity that I had. It is mostly gone now though thankfully. I would definitely wait until after kids for a lift if it's not absolutely necessary. I have a bit more side boob than I thought I'd have and I have ultra high profile implants, my cleavage also isn't as close as if like but it's all up to anatomy. The general size of the sizers will be the same but sideboob may be different depending on what you started with and where your nipple is positioned. I didn't have to pay to go back and recheck the size. I'll inbox you my email address =)

How was the warning given? I feel like he really emphasised on it and said to go away and think about it, was that said to you too? Yeah I think waiting is good idea also, plus it can be covered under private health fund because its corrective surgery :)
I emailed you hun

I was just advised during the appointment as the consultant was going through the book. It wasn't emphasised much at all and I wasn't told to think about it. In fact, she said it was a risk but that it usually corrects itself. I'm not sure about private health covering it, I'd really look into that. I think it would still be considered cosmetic surgery.

Wahhhhhh!!! Why am I still sore?

lollylegs
So I'm 11 days post op and I'm being a sooky la la. I'm still tender. No pain, just discomfort. My sideboob is the main area that hurts all the time, kind of like enlarged lymph nodes when you get the flu. Then when laying down on my side my sternum, ribs and sideboob are sore. Still have the elephant on my chest when I roll from side to back. When will this go away =( how long until you were completely pain/discomfort/soreness free???

Ahh lovely lady, I know we are all different but it does take time - I remember popping out for lunch at the 2 week mark and I literally couldn't wait to get home because of "the elephant" !! Felt like my boobs were going to drop off!!
By the month mark you should be able to pop out normally, without thinking about your boobs constantly.
It may seem like forever but it's definitely worth it :-)
My chest felt uncomfortable and swollen and tight for a good couple of weeks, for me it was my sore rib cage too - we have been pulled about a bit! but then it started to really ease off - sooo at 11 days you're over the worst and well on your way to getting back to normal x

I must just be being a sook lol. I'm lucky that they don't hurt much at all during the day, only if I go poking or prodding them. It's just at night when I lay on my side and then swap to back that I get the elephant. Also not too comfortable laying on my side. I'm just having a whinge but it's soooo good to have so many supportive people here to whinge to that have been there done that. Xx
