2 month update!

It's been just over 2 months since my surgery and things are slowly moving along. I still struggle with the fluctuating swelling, the tenderness and slight numbness on my tip, the mild congestion and worst of all the constant state of anxiety after i bump/touch it and i've convinced myself i've ruined my results forever!!
I had an appointment with my surgeon at 5 weeks PO, where he had a look at my nose and advised me that the 5-6 week mark would be the peak of the 'hard' swelling phase. It's honestly hard for me to see significant changes in swelling as i'm looking at my nose so frequently and it's hard to see a gradual progression. I guess comparing with my previous post on here, i do see a slight change in shape but im still bothered by the roundness and bulbousness of the tip (which my surgeon said would be the last place for the swelling to subside- in accordance with most of what i've read online).
Something I have been finding hard is that most people have told me that 'they can't see any difference at all' and that 'they would never be able to guess i've had surgery'. I know this comes form purely good intentions and they mean to say the result is very subtle and natural, but i constantly just feel saddened that I had to go through this entire process to end up with the nose that caused me a lot of insecurity before. I just keep trying to convince myself that I am only 2 months down in swelling with a long way ahead of me, especially when considering I underwent an open rhinoplasty, the procedure was majorly focused on my tip, and I have thicker ethnic skin.
I've attached some pictures that i've just taken and i apologise that my face/nose are a bit red and sweaty, I was just in a sunny car for 3 hours and unsuccessfully tried to dodge the sun :(
Hope you are all well! :) xx

You look good. The swelling decreased compared to previous photos but I noticed that you have some irregularities in your bridge and it is clear in your profile. Did you discuss this with your surgeon ?
i have a bit of indentation on my bridge from sleeping with my splint every night, but i think its more obvious on the front and less on the side. What do you mean?
I mean the indentation. Is it permanent or going to disappear? What does your surgeon think?
how are you?

day 35 update
Its been nearly 5 weeks since my surgery and i can't believe how fast it has gone. It has seriously flown by so quickly!
The two pictures i've included I am wearing make up, and i still have a bit of darkness beneath my eyes and redness on my tip. The swelling by far has been the most frustrating thing about the recovery. I start to like the look of my nose some days, and within hours i feel like it goes back to looking how it did when i first had the cast off! And also, I think its quite subjective. Sometimes I am convinced my nose has swollen up, but others can't see any difference at all.
I hope the swelling continues to go down, especially on the tip (the main reason i had the surgery) because I still see no difference in my nose. I also feel like the base of my nose in general is pretty wide. Other than that, I still like my side profile!
Hope everyone is going well :) x

Wow what a difference time makes! You can definitely see that the swelling is going down. Your nose is looking great. x
I do see what you are saying. Your profile is great.
Your profile is very nice but your front view is still wide. Hopefully it is just swelling. Give it more time

day 18
It's been 18 days since my surgery and as you can see in the pictures my nose and face are still very swollen, especially on the tip! I have been feeling quite defeated over it and have often felt like this whole process was a waste because my nose is as round and bulbous as before (sometimes even more) but i try to assure myself that i am still in the early phase of the healing process and swelling (especially on the tip) can take months to subside. I think my anxiety stems from the thought that even once my swelling subsides, my nose may look the same as it did before.
I am really self conscious about my front view and I hate talking to people close up as I feel like they notice the swelling. The tip ridges are quite defined and the nose looks really wide from the front. However, I don't mind my side profile and you can tell my bridge is less elevated than before.
I am otherwise back to all my regular activities and everything is going fine apart from the lingering nasal congestion and inability to smell/taste completely xx

Your real boss looks great. Sorry to hear you had such a painful recovery. The swelling will go down in time, don't worry
How are you doing?

I am having surgery in a 11 days and I am nervous about the results and the pain. It really is a stressful time especially as the majority of us have planned the operation for so long. Any updates?
