Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Filling in the review gaps

It looks like not all of my review went up so I'm just adding in some colour. I have had what I can only assume is androgenic alopecia for about 20 years (I've never found anyone to properly diagnose it). I started trying Factor Four in December 2017 and have had 5 sessions (it is now June 2018). I don't find it particularly painful, though, after each session, chunk of my hair came out at the site where I'd had the treatment. I haven't experienced any slow in the thinning or any regrowth (and my hair is progressively getting finer). I have also been using Regaine (5%) twice a day for about 3 years and taking 100mg of spironolactone (aldactone) for the same period - I had a massive surge in growth when I started them but that stopped and over time the shedding continued. The shedding has gone from sporadic to all the time over the past 12 months (all over including underneath - ie, I don't think it is linked to the treatment) and my ponytail is getting smaller and smaller. I'm glad I tried it because I was desperate and wanted to be able to tell myself that I tried everything (so I would have no regrets) but I don't think it has improved my hair at all and I wonder if my hairline would be more solid now if I hadn't done it.

The people were lovely but struggled practically - each time they look my blood they missed the vein at least once and couldn’t get the blood to flow (bruises and 4-5 attempts across both arms each time - I’ve never had this problem giving blood before). Their freezer broke down after my fourth session and they lost my plasma so they had to take more blood)
