My name is Claire, I am a 49 year old, working mother of two!
I am a keen fitness fanatic ,I live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy being single! I like to look good and take pride in my appearance.

I have been having cosmetic enhancement procedures since the age of 45.
I have had Botox and fillers in my face from a GP who practices in this area and is based on the south coast of New South Wales. I was happy with the treatment I received from him up until October 2016.
Under this practitioner, the GP, talked me into have "tear trough" fillers. I remember this day vividly as I was a little bit squeamish about the whole procedure. However I had no cause to doubt his council and he stated that he had a product that would last for years and do a great job and that there would be no side effects,he assured me the filler would simply disappear over time.
However, this is where I was greatly misinformed!
About three years to the day I started to notice strange lumps appearing under my eyes.I put it down to tiredness and old age! The lumps grew bigger and at night as I lay i bed I could feel them as a hard, pea like, lumps in my under eye region. They also moved!
I then noticed how red my eyes were becoming, the lumps were irritating my eyes, not only that they were becoming increasingly painful.I went to my GP who gave me antibiotic eye drops. Still no change, they were getting more uncomfortable by the day.
The final straw came when one day I was reversing out of the drive and I could not see out of my left eye properly. There was something obscuring my vision, preventing my eye from moving in the socket.
I began to panic!
To be honest I was in tears most days about the awful way I looked. I stopped going out and hated looking in the mirror.I became reclusive.
Then my girlfriend suggested I see Dr Niro Sivathasan.

Prior to my first appointment I was very nervous, I did not want to be judged or reprimanded or made to feel stupid about what had happened three years ago.
Dr Niro was brilliant, he listened carefully and was totally professional. He suggested a course of Hyalorinase injections.
Most importantly for me was that he actually cared and was concerned for my well being.
Hyalroinase- This was the "magic stuff" that could dissolve the filler. It was very painful, as the hyalorinase felt like a burning sensation, like hot water being poured on jelly, but under my eyes. I have a high pain threshold but these injections really brought a tear to my eyes!!

Nightmare of nightmares! It did not work, I had 6 episodes of this treatment at my own request.I kept thinking that I might get lucky.
In the end Dr Niro advised me that he would not do any more injections and felt that I would benefit from a consultation with another surgeon colleague of his, who like Dr Niro, was an expert in the cosmetics field.
I saw the colleague and after that visit, I understood clearly, the only way to fix this was to have surgery.
A bilateral lower blepharoplasty. I was really scared but desperate !!

Dr Niro booked me in as soon as possible as he understood the emotional and physical pain these lumps were now causing me.

When the day of surgery arrived I felt very confident and relieved that my discomfort and disfiguration was going to be over. The surgery was done by Dr Niro and 100% successful!
The follow up was amazing!
Dr Niro contacted me for 10 days postoperatively. He made the whole procedure less terrifying.
In addition to this I commenced using Amarante a product that Dr Niro was pioneering. I found the results amazing! There serum which assists with reducing inflammation was like a wonder drug!
The results were incredible, so good that within 12 weeks I looked back to normal.

I have decided to write this to make other people out there aware of the lack of training that GP's and now RN's in the cosmetic field have.
The products out there, Botox and fillers, have to be used with knowledge and wisdom.
The moral of my story is; stick with doctors, like Dr Niro Sivathasan, that are highly qualified in the area of Cosmetic enhancement and that are not GP's trying to supplement their incomes after a weekend course.
I was lucky.
Thanks Dr Niro.
