I am on my day 5 after surgery and I feel great so I decided to share my experience with RealSelf, and recommend Dr Eddy Dona to everyone looking for a great Plastic Surgeon in Sydney!

I am 28 years old, 1.60m, 53kg (small frame) and I had my first BA done 9 years ago. As I was very young and skinny, my Doctor back in the days decided (wisely) to choose a small implant size - 250cc Saline under the muscle. During these years my body has obviously changed, my weight fluctuated quite significantly and my breasts paid the price of ageing I guess: they looked soggy, had dropped down too much, they were uneven, too small so I was just NOT HAPPY with them!
That's why I decided to look for a Board Plastic Surgeon in Sydney and after a lot of research and made my appointment with Dr Eddy Dona. All I could read were excellent reviews about him so I did not hesitate about my choice. He didn't disappoint on the appointment date, he was very professional and understood my needs, after a lot of detail measuring he pointed out exactly what I wanted: more projection, fuller look, larger volume at the bottom part of the breast. What would help me achieve my desired results were bigger implants and silicone instead of saline. My BWD turned out to be 13 which is quite large for a small woman, hence why he suggested my chest could fit up to 520cc! My initial idea was upsizing to 350cc-400cc but he told me not to worry about numbers but about my specific body and chest size and shape.

We agreed to go for 495cc HP Silicone which would allow me to achieve the fuller look I was after, without looking too fake or disproportional. Surgery date was here in no time and it's been already 5 days since I came back home from hospital. I have felt GREAT so far, no nauseas or sickness or major pain or anything - just the usual soreness, tightness on the chest and drowsiness from meds - they must have done a good job! I am taking antibiotics and mild pain killers (very strong pain killer for the first 48h only) and using Arnica cream for swelling. Both breasts look perfectly even and dropping down a little bit every day, I know it will take weeks even months to be completely set, I am very excited to see the final results.
I am going back to work tomorrow (office work does not require heavy lifting or anything like that) so I hope I'll be ok! My last antibiotic day is tomorrow morning which will help with the drowsiness, being constantly druged up is not fun :) ! I will update next week so you can see the progression, very happy with my results so far!

Awesome job !! Fantastic Doctor ! What is your height and weight if you don't mind me asking ?
User Avatar
June 30, 2014
Hi Blutee :) Thanks yes I am very happy indeed, I already can feel he did a great job even though they are still very swollen. My height is 5'3" and my weight is 116lb. Do you have similar measurements? I have read you have your first consultation soon, good luck and let me know how you go!
June 30, 2014
Yes same height but bout 5lbs more. Need to loose ha ha especially b4 surgery
June 30, 2014
Hey wS also wondering if it was less painful second time around ?
User Avatar
June 30, 2014
Yes , it was less painful, I am already back at work and it's only day 6. Your skin does not need to stretch out that much as opposed to the first time, however if you are also getting a breast lift and scar correction etc I would think the recovery time is a bit longer? Cheers

10 days post op review, feeling great!

Hi ladies, I thought I'd tell you about my week. It's been 11 days since surgery already and I feel really good. I went back to work on day 6 after surgery (office work, so did not use my arms too much) however struggled a little bit the first few days due to having to walk, catch the bus, go to meetings etc. Pain killers have helped me a lot to manage through the week and I also had my 1 week post op appointment with Dr Dona's nurses. They said the recovery was going on track, both breasts have dropped down significantly and I had the dressings over the wound removed which is great. I have uploaded a few pics so you can see the difference compared to the first few days, boobies are now sitting much lower and look much more natural already :) Feeling very happy with my results!

You Look so much better with the bigger implants and they also fill out the "Gap" between your breast better. I am also thinking about Getting bigger implants in two years. Love your size. :D Best wishes

How different do the Silicone feel?
User Avatar
July 10, 2014
They are still feeling a little hard but the look is so natural already and it's only been 2 weeks. You will love the switch to silicone. Plus, you will get no rippling which is what saline end up turning to. You will be very happy trust me! xoxo

Thanks hun!! Getting there...it's only been over 2 weeks now so they still feel very hard. I want soft boobies! [RS bleep]

Hey Shelly!! good to see Aussie boobies around here :) thanks so much, I'm thrilled. Finally got the size I wanted. I was scared of going bigger (almost 500cc sounded huge for me) but it's the best decision ever. xoxo
July 10, 2014
Yep you got that lovely full look and your gap closed. What style if implants did he use..are they natrelle hp or mentor or silimed?
User Avatar
July 10, 2014
Hey hun, thanks for that, yes that's exactly what I told him on the appointment - I want the gap closed!
User Avatar
July 10, 2014
The other part of my comment didn't come through I think: they are 495cc High Profile Natrelle. Is this what you are planning to get? [RS bleep]
July 10, 2014
Which brand of implant did you get as I think natrelle do the 495 cc??
User Avatar
July 10, 2014
Oops sorry, they are Allergan Inspita TSX 495 cc, not Natrelle - I got confused! xoxo
July 11, 2014
Hey SienaB.N, are those textured implants ?
July 11, 2014
Cool! I've done alot of research on these and really good reviews. Thats what doc suggests for me too . TsX stands for textured soft touch( which is the slightly firmer but more cohesive gel) and x stands for extra high projection. Apparently the soft touch are very safe as the gel won't leak out of them like most other silicone implants. The Inspira range is the top of the range Natrelle collection( owned by allergan). Its great to see yours in as they do have great projection. You'll have to show a side profile pic too. Do they feel alot heavier than the first ones? I have 450 now and have been suggested the 615cc tsx or 700cc tsx and wondering how heavy they would feel with 200cc difference to mine now?
User Avatar
July 12, 2014
Yes I remember the Doc saying they were from the Natrelle brand however I couldn't see it on my tags, so confusing. He only uses top range implants that's what gave me the confidence to decide and go for it, you don't want any cheap stuff into your body, or anything that's going to start leaking! god no! I actually thought they'd feel very heavy (I upsized 250cc!) but they don't feel heavy at all! If you go for 615cc or even 700cc I don't think they will fell as heave as they sound, ask the surgeon see what he says...! Are you having your appointment any time soon? xoxo

Hi girls, it's been 3 weeks post surgery today so I thought I'd do a quick update so you can see the progression. Boobies feel still firm but a bit softer ever day, they are dropping slowly but surely - lower pole has got more volume therefore they look more natural. They still need time to settle on their final position but I think it'll be months before it happens...I guess everyone's recovery is different but well, I'm happy with them now and hoping they will drop more and I will get a cleavage soon! xoxo

I'm loving those inspira tsx implants girl. They are looking fab!! How do they feel...dont mind if they feel slightly firmer though? I love the profile look tooo...I like the fact that the slightly firmer gel holds its shape so you won't lose upper pole "rack" look lol!!! Stay in touch...you are a good inspiration for me at the moment. I'm trying to imagine what the 615cc tsx or 700cc would look like on me :)
User Avatar
July 15, 2014
Thanks love! I am really happy too, I want to keep the upper pole fullness but I also want them to drop more so the lower pole is nice and curvy , I hope you are right and the TSX implants hold their shape! With my previous Saline implants, I lost my upper pole fullness and cleavage straightaway, they felt very soggy and did not hold themselves up unless I wore a push up bra! I think with these new ones I will not need to much push up, fingers crossed! 615cc or 700cc will look amazing on you hun! it's like the 200cc-250cc upsize that I had done, you will be so happy with the results! Are you still researching? xoxo
July 15, 2014
Yep I'm still looking at heaps. Just made an appointment with Dr. Ces and also another follow up with Richardson. Dr. Ces is great with brazillian implants so I'm interested to hear about those and what he would recommend for me... Dr. Richardson my original surgeon now has a vectra machine so I want him to try it on me with a few different implants and I also want to confront him about the placement of my right implant now that I have a second opinion who said its poor placement. Wonder what he's going to say or offer? Not that it really matters. ...not sure that I trust him to do the revision?? He has already told me what he won't do so its not likely to change. I asked him could he bring my cleavage closer and he said no...said he doesn't do internal sutures either. New surgeon said he can even out my cleavage...close off the side with sutures and open up the capsule in my midline so my implants look even. Just like what yours did for you. It looks amazingly better for you now...gives me hope xoxo
July 15, 2014
Another question. ..did you lose any nipple sensation by going bigger by 250cc?
User Avatar
July 15, 2014
Not at all hun, my left nipple has got too much sensitivity since the surgery for some reason...and the right one is perfectly fine, lucky I didn't lose any nipple sensation - did it happen to you on your first BA? xoxo
July 15, 2014
No I was lucky as well and didn't lose any nipple sensation. ..just have a slight numb patch on my lower part of left boob but that doesn't matter. So I guess I'm keen to not lose any sensation by going for another time. My original doc who was anti me getting a revision was throwing around figures like 20% chance of loss of sensation. . Thats like 1 in 5...yikes! Second surgeon I just saw said there are risks but alot depends on the surgeons skill too.. think my original doc doesn't give me much confidence lol!
User Avatar
July 15, 2014
Haha Yes I think it's definitely a good idea to change surgeons Drs lol I think 1 in 5 is too pessimistic, no way! If you choose a Dr with great skills rest assured the chances are much lower hun [RS bleep]
July 15, 2014
Hey Sienna B.,N. Thanks for updating . You look fabulous , I love the fullness up top too !
User Avatar
July 15, 2014
Thanks Blutee! I think the upper pole fullness will decrease a little bit after they drop completely but hopefully the implant will be big enough to create some cleavage. Thanks for your kind words hun. Have you booked your appointment yet? You should post some pics! Xoxo
July 15, 2014
Hey Sienna B.N, Haven't chose a doctor yet, I really like the ones out of my state but follow up will be difficult. I'm being really cautious cuz don't wanna make a mistake and choose wrong Doctor and get a bad result. It's really scary, I never got to have a good result and I really wanna be sure I get one ! I had to live 12 yrs and some with a bad result while everyone else had great results !! I'm sad and discouraged bout it ! I didn't do consults in my state yet but it's comming up soon. This month. Will update how it went. Thanks hun

Hey girl! Been thinking of you. ..hope that all is going well for you. I'm quite interested in the idea of even getting dr dona do do my revision as well. I really like how he closed in your cleavage. ..just what I'm wanting too. Please stay in touch cheers Shelly xoxo

Hey my lovely Shelly! how have u been?I just came back from a 4 week Europe holiday to this sh**ty Sydney weather, so depressed! Check the pics Ive just updated the review with some fresh pics, what do you think? He definitely did a good job closing my cleavage. Still a small gap but well he wouldn't let me go much bigger than this so I'm happy all together! Love xoxo Siena
August 23, 2014
Hi Siena!! Lucky you getting away from the winter...it was really cold in sydney this year apparently!! Wow...what can I say with the new girls...they look fantastic. ..you must be so happy!! I love the fullness of them and how he brought them closer together. ..just what mine need. My last meeting with my surgeon was full of doom and gloom and the only thing he can promise me is bigger boobs...not exactly the confidence that you want when choosing a revision surgeon lol! I'm going to contact dr.dona as well and see what he thinks. Did he suture you down the sides to bring implants in...just want to know it all...cheers Shelly xoxo

Hey love, that's exactly right, that's not exactly what you want to hear from your PS before spending god knows how much in a revision surgery. I wouldn't do it with him this time, look for someone who can guarantee what you want - not only bigger boobs but they must be able to close up ur cleavage. If not 100% at least something (mine isn't closed 100% either but I knew that from the start , Dr Dona set my expectations appropriately and honestly) and that's what ur PS should've done from the start. Yes he had to suture down the sides a little bit in the cleavage area to bring the implants together. I was not aware of that until surgery date when he explained that he had to do it due to my skin being too tight in between my breasts. Let me know what Dr Dona says, I'm curious to know what results he can guarantee you - he's a great PS I'm sure he can do more than what the other PS told you. xoxoxo take care hun
August 24, 2014
Yes it would be interesting. It could even be worth a flight to sydney to see him in person. I'm just so torn at the moment as you can imagine. Torn between just putting up with what I have. ..and then torn between spending money. I know richardson is probably the cheapest but at what price to me...I don't want someone to just "give it a go" at trying to get closer as he said lol!! He said it would be him like crossing an ice bridge to get to Mt everest. Wtf!!! I think he's just dodging liability. Im actually going to speak to a lawyer too to find out where I stand. He said the only thing he can guarantee me is bigger boobs and nothing else which means he's not willing to fix his off centre implant. If I then can go to someone else who can and does can I get costs to fix up his mistake that he refused to fix..mmm I wonder? Sadly it might prove too costly but I will get advice.
August 24, 2014
By the way....I would be happy to have a gap like yours...just didn't want the "valley of death" like I told my surgeon from the beginning haha !! I think that the fact that your doc gave you realistic expectations is also what I need. He couldn't even guarantee 3mm!!!! As other proof of the misleading things he told me was in November last year atbmy 6 months post op. I'm there bawling my eyes out and he tells me to wear a bra to bed for 6 months to bring the implants in closer. I questioned him and he says " sometimes they do move". So when it didn't work and I saw other docs they tell me its [RS bleep]. Then at his appointment he tells me that he dissected to the full extent of the muscle....so why the f..k did he waste 6 months of my life with me hoping it would move??? Lying prick.
User Avatar
August 25, 2014
Ha, speak to a lawyer and see what you can do because it does not sound right to me. What he says now it doesn't make sense and he's only trying to over up his arse now - a little too late Mr! It's exactly what you're saying, he doesn't want to risk not to deliver your expected results again hence why he's saying he can't do it. Honestly, I'm almost certain another PS will be able to guarantee something more than "only bigger boobs", I bet you anything! Hopefully the lawyer route won't be too costly and you can get his unprofessionalism with it!
User Avatar
August 25, 2014
Oh dear I understand how frustrated you are. It'd be the same. Nothing irritates me more than dishonest people (specially if you are paying them 10grand to do their job!). And this "wear a bra on for 6 months , they might move" business sounds ridiculous because that's something he should've instructed on the 1week post op appointment - not at the 6 months post op, it's obvious that the boobs have already settled and won't move. And you poor thing having to deal with it! Come to Sydney for an appointment with Dr Dona and we'll catch up for a coffee so we can whinge about your Dr together! lots of love hun and stay positive xoxoxo
August 25, 2014
Oh thanks so much for listening to me vent. I just want honesty as you say...and not a back track on honesty when confronted like this guy has done...I can't stand lying. Its ok...karma is a [RS bleep]. I will let you know if I do end up making an appointment with dr. Dona. How far do you think he is from train station? I would love to meet you for a coffee. ..maybe you can come with me to the appointment to show him what I'm hoping to achieve lol...lets stay in touch. You paid 8500...was that absolutely everything? I also have private health. I see on his website he says implant exchange from 6500...is that what was advertised when you went there but had to pay a bit extra for the pocket revision and sutures? Let me know cheers Shelly xoxo
User Avatar
August 26, 2014
I can't stand lying either, specially coming from a "professional" and renown PS. It's just wrong. So, Dr Dona's rooms are not near any train station unfortunately, however there's a bus that takes you from Sydney CBD to a few min walk from his office, that's the best option even though it's quite a long way, like 40 min or so. Don't worry we'll sass it out, if you fly down here I'll borrow a car so we can go together! :) The price was $8,800 for absolutely everything, pocket revision and sutures included, and that's the first quote I got from his assistant when I first contacted them via email. I think it's pretty reasonable taking into account that he always achieves great results - at least he's honest and he'll be able to tell you what he can or cannot deliver! I think the $6500 comes after the private health insurance rebate, he will provide you with an item number of the procedure and then if your health insurance accepts it they'll pay you around $2k back. I think that's why the final out of pocket cost might be around $6.5k. I couldn't claim it back due to the waiting period of my private health insurance policy but you could probably get it which is great. Let me know what you decide hun [RS bleep]

Heya. Mrs. 500 I just had the most amazing couple of emails with dr.revis. I'm sitting here with my hubby and I'm crying. After all the stuff I've dealt with he sounds amazing!!!! I love him already and I haven't even met him. I told him about you and that you're going to be boobie sitter for me and he said you're beautiful and that I'll be in good hands. I really think I'm doing this. F...k the money...he might be able to give me some sort of discount I pray...but I'm aiming late feb early march. Hehe!!!!! He says that my expectations are realistic. ..I will get big closer boobies too and I'm gonna send a pic to my crap surgeon to show him when they're done!!!!

Awe that was nice of him to say that and I will def be here for you! I agree with you about he money too, it'll be so with it to have the best possible results! I'll make sure and mention it to him when I'm there on Sept 9th too :) Yes you def need to send him a pic!! Hell I think I'd personally go there and show him and tell him, this is what you couldn't give me!!! Go Revis!!! XXXXXXXXXXX

You guys are so amazing! boobie sitter it is then, you will be in great hands Shelley! I'd love to go to FL with you girls. I would have been Shelley boobie sitter in Sydney but honestly hun, after all you've dealt with and specially the inability of your previous PS to deal with his mistakes, I totally support your decision: GO DR REVIS! he hasn't even met you yet and he's committed to achieve what YOU want and deserve. That's what it meant to be from the start, instead of back and forth lies! I'm with you girl! you'll send him your post revision pics and he'll fall off his chair! :) xxxxx
August 27, 2014
Yep...I just might!!!!
August 27, 2014
Hi siena!!! It feels so good to finally have some answers. I sent him a heap of pics and questions and he answered everyone of them realistically. I will still email dr.dona though like I said, and get some info and quotes from him too. I wish they had inspira implants approved in the usa...that would be great. I believe that they are better than the mentor but aren't approved there yet. They are more cohesive gel than the normal silicone implants. Guess that its best to go with what Revis suggests...hp mentor as he knows the results with them. His internal bra is permanent sutures and he has patients 10 years post and they haven't moved. I'm liking that :)
