Numbness in chin from tightness with Invisalign. Has anyone experienced this?

I had numbeness in my chin yesterday and I think it's from the tightness around my teeth from the bottom aligners. The numbness feels kind of the feeling of (lack of) when you get an injection from at the dentist before they start drilling! It's a dull numbness. Is this normal?

Hello, I've been wanting to get my teeth fixed...

Hello,
I've been wanting to get my teeth fixed for quite a few years and now I'm finally going ahead with it.
I'm getting married in July 2016 so my aim was to have my teeth fixed in time. I have a large gap between my front teeth which has just gotten worse with age. I have spacing between my bottom teeth and they are also not straight. I also have a slight overbite which needs to be corrected.

I asked my usual dentist if Invisalign would be suitable for me and he actually said I wouldn't be. I asked another dentist about a year later and this time I was referred to an orthodontist. This ortho was a God send! He assessed the state of my teeth and the issues I have and designed a Invisalign treatment plan to suit my lifestyle keeping in mind that I really wanted to have nice teeth in time for my wedding. This ortho is definitely more expensive than others as he is based in the city and runs a very nice and upscale practice BUT so far I feel like it's been worth it because of the expertise he has and the good client service I've received so far.

Because my treatment is Invisalign Lite, I will only have 14 aligners and I'm also going to use acceledent so I can finish this treatment as soon as possible. I may need refinement at the end of my treatment depending on the results.

I put my first set of aligners in yesterday. It was easy enough and I even managed to sleep okay. However, in the morning I just felt the urge to take them off. It feels like I have chew gum stuck to my teeth all over. My bottom teeth also hurt when I took the aligners off. They were quite tender.
I've taken some nurofen this morning to help with the pain.

My speech isn't too bad although I feel more self conscious at work because I'm afraid I'm going to sounds silly with a slight lisp.

I'll be getting my attachments next week. I really hope the discomfort doesn't get worse but I have a feeling it will with the attachments.

I'm already counting down the 14 weeks!
