I had two microneedling treatments early this year at a clinic. The woman was lovely and used a dermapen. My reason for getting the treatment was to help reduce a bit of pigmentation and light acne scars around my nose. I never anticipated what would happen after those treatments...
Months later I noticed that the dermapen had left tiny needle marks on the areas where she microneedling. They are still on my face now, and make me look like I have mega large pores.
Not only have I got micro scarring from this treatment, I am also getting fine lines in the areas where the needle was. Before the treatment I had a baby face, and could easily have passed as an early teen. Now I look haggard and my skin looks damaged.
Being young and vain, I was not aware how good my skin was at the time. After getting this ridiculous treatment only meant for genuinely bad skin problems, I am deeply regretting this treatment. It’s harsh on the skin and is a scam sold to insecure women promising to make them look better.
I follow and have always followed at great skin regime, get plenty of sleep and exercise and have a a good diet.
I don’t smoke, and I always wear a good spf 30 sunblock with a hat outside.
My only cause can be the microneedling. An awful and impulsive decision I love to regret. Natural beauty shouldn’t be played around with unless you have genuinely bad skin.
I will always regret stepping into that clinic. I have lines and needle marks all over my face. Much worse than before!
