My Long 10 Year Experience with Sculptra - Switzerland, CH

WORTH IT
I am writing this review because probably there are not many people who
are writing about such a long experience with sculptra. I started using it about ten years
ago after it was recommended by my 'then' dermatologist who was just getting into anti
aging medicine. He was starting to use it himself and was very enthusiastic and since I was then
in my early 50's and newly divorced it felt like the moment to do some serious work on my looks.
I was fortunate because he was my doctor for 20 years and we had a familiar and comfortable relationship which I trusted. I started the first few years by doing several viles of sculptra a year
mostly on the outer contours of my face up towards my temples. Since then I have also done my neck, which I do not read much about at all and continue to do one vial as maintenance on my face and one on my neck per year. It costs about 2000 swiss francs for the two vials per year but I must say that I have never looked back. YES it takes time and money and patience but the results are natural and beautiful. My skin is very toned and firm and my facial contours have remained youthfully intact. I highly recommend it for real lasting long term results. Its not an overnight fix but truly with the years it does an amazing job of keeping the face looking young, supple and naturally full.

I have a great doctor who is only working two days a week now - he is in his 70s and after using sculptra for the last decade has amazing skin as well as an expert hand ( which is fundamentally indispensable for this procedure)

You are welcome. Its just that there is so much 'filling' going on out there and I have seen so much damage and facial distortion with close friends and acquaintances. Sculptra in the right hands gives the natural long lasting results we all really are looking for.

Juvederm and restylane on cheeks eye troughs and above lips
Can you post pictures? Im considering Sculptra, but not so sure, cause i look still young, but i will like to keeo my looks as you did.
Thanks for the post! I love hearing the positive stories about Sculptra. Unfortunately I am one of the people that does not absorb it correctly...not sure if allergic or what ....but I have read other women on here have also had the same experience. With fillers such as Juverderm or Restyline...you aren't stuck for life with it if something bad happens.
It's from not mixing the sculptra enough. I have to tell him in advance because it is put on a small machine which shakes and emulsifies the liquid. I have heard that from dermatologists.

Just make sure the doctor has good amount of experience with sculptra. It actually works wonders in the right hands. Good luck!
I also got the lumps and the chronic inflammation. It is up to the physician to understand and use the product correctly. If they do not you are pretty much out of luck. it lasts forever it seems.
You are right about the physician because I also with some experiences with other injectables fell into 'expensive' but not competent hands and had bad things which took years to rectify completely. I have a doctor who has over 10 years injecting sculptra and he makes the difference. Its so hard to tell and always some risk I guess. Sorry about your experience. I have never had any negatives with the sculptra but some nightmares with restylane so I know the drill. Takes years to completely dissolve. They say months but............Good luck with your inflammation and try some antiinflammation supplements,
I am working with an integrative medicine physician and I am taking anti inflammatory supplements, I am gluten free and dairy free and doing everything in my power to minimize this reaction. My point is every body reacts differently to sculptra. I works by generating a foreign body immune response. A robust immune response causes terrible complications. It is also a synthetic polymer and the "natural" collagen is actually fibrosis caused by a foreign body immune response. Sculptra is human experimentation.
I believe you are right. So what you are saying is that it does not stimulate your own natural collagen?!
