Initial result swelling looks beautiful but I know it won't last long. The swelling will subside slowly and subtly over the next week and then the gradual results of collagen building will show in 4-8 weeks time. I will post more photos when I'm finished. I have had Radiesse injected four previous times, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 but decided to switch to Sculptra for a longer lasting result. I had it injected on cheekbones and along them as well as in the nasolabial folds. Hoping the final results will be similar to how it looks right now. Very pleased :) Also it is completely fine to have injected while there is still Radiesse in there! I had my Radiesse put in 6 months ago.

Were the injections painful?

Not too bad, I would more describe it as discomfort and a burning sensation. It is injected first and then kinda spread under skin after injection ...so a little different than the Radiesse which was basically just injected in one place and was meant to stay in that place. The Sculptra is meant to be spread around after injection, so the spreading of the substance feels a bit odd.

Thank you so much for your post. I am doing the same thing and really hope it works. I really appreciate how much you've shared and the time you spent posting this. I saw your posts to date and I think there is a huge improvement! You look great!

Thank you for posting, I had Sculptra done a few years back and it worked great.
This time it is not working the same . I had 2 treatments done and I do not see any difference. I have a 3rd one scheduled in October. How long did it take for you to see a difference ? Thank you for your help.

Was trying to display many different expressions but appreciate the criticism! I just know it is helpful for me to see other people's reviews when they have lots of photos to compare to each other vs just 2 or 3... I will take your suggestion, thank you! <3

Ok sorry but I understand that , and your wrote some people have only 2-3 photos so I guess it’s good you put a lot because as far as I know it takes time for the sculpra to do it’s thing that it does by producing collagen,,, I think that’s rite. Which areas did you have injected and how mane ml per session??

Please disregard Bettycles comment regarding your pics. Sometimes people just say things without much forethought. Thank you very much for taking the time to help out others, it is greatly appreciated.

I think it is somewhere between 7-9 mL per treatment? My dr injected one vial using 4 syringes...But yeah the frustration of other people only posting 2-3 pics made me want to do opposite ;)

Also to note: my weight fluctuated 28 lbs over the course of the photos - up and down haha...but current weight has stabilized ...I'm 134 lbs now :)

Cheeks are a little sore post - procedure. I need to massage the areas and pressing on them hurts :( Here is a picture of before (with no eyebrow filler) and after procedure (today with eyebrow filler)

Looks good. I had 2 vials at 40 and just had 2 more at 46. It does last a couple of years. I like it because it looks completely natural. I might need a 3rd being older but am waiting to see how it settles over the months. Definitely worth it over the more short term fillers!

Have you found any small lumps form in your cheeks from the sculptra? I had my last vile in August 2016 and initially I liked the results, but now 8 months later, my cheeks are riddled with lumps from the product that won't go away

After 2.5 months now, no lumps..worried that they may come up tho...been massaging face alot...I only had 1 vial at a time though... how many viles did you have put in?
May 17, 2017
I had just over 1 vile spread out over 3 months. The lumps appeared after around 6 months

oh yeah? my dr wouldn't let me have less than a vile...I wanted a half for second treatment...I really am praying i'll be ok

has your lumps gone yet?I just noticed you messaged me months ago. 5fu/kenalog shots can help to break down those lumps .

2 Weeks Post Update:
So I think I'm happy. Initial swelling down but curious if massaging the nasolabial folds where I had the Radiesse injected 6 months ago diminished my results and pronounced my fold line? I hope this fills back in come next month or by May... If not I will have to go back to my Dr and see what to do... I know it is subtle but it is subtle changes that make a HUGE impact as we all know...
