2 Weeks Post Op
WORTH IT$9,800
Hey! I'm 2 weeks post op as of yesterday. I sat on my Boppy pillow and yoga roll yesterday for the first time. Not bad. I haven't returned to work yet. I am back in my home town. We left GA early because I felt up to the ride. My BF drove back and I laid on my stomach and sides in the backseat. I had to start wearing my compression stockings again for the trip because the nurses at Dr. J's said my clot risk would rise again during travel. We also had to pull over every few hours so I could stretch and walk to keep the blood flowing but we made it just fine. Before I left ATL, I had my post op appt and they took out the drain. I was 7 days post op. I also had 2 seromas in my lower abdomen which Kim drained in the office. Pain free. I left the office and went straight to lipo express and got a smaller garment. It was a [RS bleep] to get on and felt like it was cutting my circulation off around by butt. I couldn't even sleep well the first few nights. But now that I've had it for 7 days it feels fine and I can now fasten it on the tightest hooks. After I returned home, I saw that the seroma in the right side of my abdomen had filled again so I went toan area surgeons office and got it drained. However, I didn't bring my lipofoam with me to compress it as soon as it was emptied so I think it may have filled a little again since then. I will check it out after this weekend and LOTS of compression and see if I need to have it drained a third time. Other than that, everything is going well and I feel good. I have had the runs since the day before I left ATL. Not sure why. At first I didn't have much of an appetite but that has returned. I feel good. Just not sure why I don't have solid poop... Lolol So...so far so good. I did several lymphatic drainage massages before I left ATL and now I'm just massaging myself everyday to break up scar tissue.I can feel some lumps under my skin but when I massage them for a few seconds, they soften. Kim said I have to massage myself everyday for three months and then my body will give up on making scar tissue. Here is a before and after picture. One pre op and one 2 weeks out. Dr. J is the man.

Update!
Hey girls! Had surgery on Thursday. Its Sunday an everything is going fabulously. I hardly have any pain. Just a bit of stiffness when I first get up. I've been drinking massive amounts of water and pineapple juice. The day after my surgery, one of Dr. J's nurses came out to my hotel room and helped me take off the garment for the first time, removed my dressings, washed me, gave me a lymphatic massage, redressed my drain and helped me get back into my garment and add lipo foam to the sides so I won't get permanent dents from the garment. She also showed me and my BF how to do the massages ourselves so we could save some money. Great service the nurses at Dr.J's are offering. It was only $100 and was well worth it. Oh and she also washed and dried my garment for me too. I got out today and went to Walmart. Not bad at all. I had my first post op BM yesterday too. Trying not to poop on your garment is murder!! Lololol Oh and the lymphatic massage feels like burning death...but you'll feel like a limp noodle afterwards!

Hi, you look amazing! Has there been a change in your weight after the surgery? I'm 5'4 and I'm at 170 right now. I was thinking I should try to lose weight and get to 160 but, I'm worried that I wouldn't have enough fat to transfer. When I met with my PS he wanted me to maintain my weight at that time I was 168. All my fat is carried in my thighs so that's where he's taking the most from. I'm pretty much having liposuction all over my body to get fat collected. Did you have to find your garment or was it provided by your PS?
Thanks doll!I haven't weighed myself. I'm still in a hotel and don't have a scale. I am also 5'4 and before surgery I got down to 185 and they told me that was the perfect weight. I gained 5lbs back before surgery and went into sx at 190lbs. I had an apple shape so all my weight was around my midsection. Dr. J told me before surgery that he wasn't going to be able to get ALL the fat out of my stomach but that was fine with me because I still want my tummy to look natural. He took out the maximum 5000cc's. I'm still swollen and my waist looks very small when my garment is off. Dr. J gives you your first garment and then they give you a card to go buy your own second garment before you leave at a lipoexpress store in the area.
Shoot, your waist looks tiny with your garment on!! Thanks for the info! What brand garment are you wearing currently? When you buy your second garment which one do you plan on getting? Are you going to get a tighter one and if so how many sizes smaller?
Yeah and I have lipo foam around the front and sides, a triangle on my lower back and a maxi pad on my back and it still looks small...and I'm swollen...Dr. J is a genius! The tag on my garment says lipoexpress and its an extra large...I'm afraid of what they're going to squeeze me into when I get the second one!
Oh and I want one with something over the butt , no butt compression, just mesh so it looks natural while I'm healing. And I'll ask Dr. J first of course...
I bought 2 garments already. I bought the Marena FBOM for after surgery and I have the faja de prada it has the mesh on the booty for the 2nd stage. The faja is really tight... I'm wondering if it may be too tight? When you put your garment on did you think you may have to break out the pliers? :/
Hopefully my PS sucks out enough fat where I can fit my lipofoam in my faja! Lol!! It's so damn tight!
No it just feels like someone is holding me really tight or giving me a tight hug. Its hard to put on and take off because I have to fit it over the booty but its not awful like some stories I've heard. Maybe the lipofoam I'm wearing makes it more comfortable... And anywhere the edges are tight I just put a maxipad there.
Hi, I hope you heal just right and share photos because this is major. You already look from the bandages, you just need to heal completely. So is it safe to say that, even after you have the surgery there are charges a la carte. Things like the massages from the nurses and help with the dressings?
Correction: You already look amazing and that's from the bandages.
Thanks doll! Well they let you know that you'll have to pay for a second garment out if pocket when you first book the surgery. Most of the garments run between $120-$130. Massages are out of pocket too but you don't have to get them from Dr. j's nurses. And you can change the dressings yourself. Only dressing I have is around the drain site. Everything else is steri-strips that will fall off by themselves. I ordered my lipofoam before I got here.
I knew what you meant
:-)

Day of treatment
Post Op Pictures and more
Here are a few post ops. I just got up to stretch and empty my drain and snapped a few. Oh also, I called Dr. J's office after hours because I didn't know if what was coming out in my drain bottle was normal or not. I got an after hours call service operator and expected to get a nurse on the line... But after a 2 minute hold she connected me to Dr.J himself! I was so surprised! He let me know that what I was seeing in my drain was normal...that it was just gravity pulling the blood apart. Let me describe it so you guys will know what I mean andknow what it is if you see it. The regular red drainage is on the bottom, there is a slightly less red, pinkish color in the middle and something that looks just like yellow cooking oil on the top. Three layers. Interesting. When I empty the drain into the toilet, the oily looking stuff separates in the water just like fat...so maybe that's what it is. Dr. J said He removed the maximum 5000 ccs of fat!! Can't wait to see how this turns out!
