9 weeks post op
Just realized I'll be 9 weeks post op tomorrow. The last month has flown by. I feel totally back to myself now not like I'm "in recovery" anymore at all. With the exception of the numbness in the skin that still feels weird to the touch. Mostly the closer to the center/ belly button area the worse it is. Doesn't hurt. Just feels really weird. I did have this really weird pain near my incision at around 6 weeks po. Just came out of no where and it hurt SO bad. Considered going to the hospital one night it was so bad and everything was closed so I didn't know who to call. Felt like someone was stabbing me on the left side at my hip. Went to my surgeon the next day and it turns out it was likely that I was feeling the nerves reconnecting which apparently happens at around 6 weeks. Ouch! Thank God that only lasted 2 or 3 days. Anyhow that's about all to report. Still super happy with my results tho sometimes I do get down when I'm having a particularly swollen day. But then I just look at some before pictures and remind my self how much better it really is. I think it will help to once I get my boobs done (I'm still having trouble fitting in nice lingerie or swimsuits because my boobs are just so big) I'm a medium to large bottom now but still need like a xxl top! Could have worse problems tho. And I'm on the wait list now for a medical service plan covered breast reduction. Just crappy the wait list is 18 months!

4 weeks post op
Was feeling super swollen today after definitely over doing it around the house and with my youngest daughter (11 months old so still requires alot of picking up etc) so I was looking at my pre op pics as I often find myself doing when I'm feeling low. Always makes me feel so much better! Can't believe how much extra room I have in my jeans now! Put together a few "before" vrs 1 month post pics. Feeling awesome again! I think that would be my number one peice of advise for anyone going into this. Take a ton of pre op pics from every angle. It will make you feel so much better when having emotional / hard days!
Went back to work this week
Doing pretty good still. Hasnt been much to update. Went back to work on Monday. I work an office job so it wasn't too bad as far as pain goes, but holy swelling after every shift, especially above my belly button. and just getting tired alot easier than normal. Definitely glad I took the 3 weeks off. It's funny because at 2 weeks I was thinking I probably would have been fine with just 2 weeks off, but now definitely happy I took the 3!
Provider Review
Dr Adrian Lee
Dr Lee and all the staff at Valley Surgery Centre are amazing. Dr Lee is super personable and easy to talk to and the nurses are all so great. Special thanks to the one who held my hand as I was going under and told me not to worry and that she would be there with me the whole time, as well as the post op nurses who brought me freezies when I was hot in the recovery room. Best surgical experience of my life
