So I had to have lipo on scar line.

One year on and I had a review as I was getting my breasts done anyway. I had lipo on my tummy where there was some fat remaining. So far so good but again back in that stupid binder for god knows how long grrrr. So I'm bound up all over body. On boobs on tummy grrr Christmas party is out I think. I'll indate photo later. Oh I also had lipo on flanks (love handles ! Improvement in that area already yay.

4 weeks PO Swelling loose skin ?!
I'm 4 weeks po. Been for the last check up all is well. I think I may need a revision as when I bend over I can still see loose skin and one side seems to hang over the scar a little ! It doesn't look flat when you look down at it ? But I'm still holding out that it could be swelling. Anybody experienced this during the healing ? Next check up 8 weeks with the surgeon.

Are you wearing your compression garment all the time? You can't wear it sporadically. It works like a waist trainer, keeping those lipo'd areas flat.

Yes wearing the garment 24 hours. It's hard to keep flat tho. It wrinkles a lot and actually rides up and touches my scars near the edge on my hip which I hate.

Found the lipo foam on Amazon. Ordering some now. Thanks for the advice. Real self is great for this kind of stuff.

Really, I just tried again with lipofoam and one word and lipo foam as two words and it comes up. It sells for $7.50. Try googling it.

How are you all feeling now? I'm 20 days post op and have a lot of swelling in my abdomen and pube area. It's frustrating!

Are you still wearing your compressed garment with the lipo foam? I'm 8 days po and I swelling in my pubic area and the area directly above it, but I also still have my drains in. I'm considering taking fish oil supplements to help with the swelling and inflammation. The other thing to consider is wether it's a hematoma or edema. Both could cause major swelling and retention of fluid.

I've see my surgeon 3 times, last one being Tuesday who says I'm fine just normal swelling. I see him every week. Hope I don't catch any of that. It would be devastating.

You need to be patient and wait the required time. Make sure you massage your scar to loose up any tight points. I'm just over a month po and have started massotherapy on the tummy and massage my scar several times a day and the look of skin hanging def improved. I also have been having a vacuum therapy which also helps with the tight stitched skin. Best of luck! And be patient and work hard on the scar with a good healing oil and techniques you can find online, but ask your doctor to show you a few too.

Skin hanging over scar on one side only !
Help !! When I look down at my scar. One side seems to hang over (looks puffy) the scar !! But the other side look taught. Is it normal ???

Could be swelling or fluid build-up (I forgot the clinical name for it, hematoma? I think)
